I find a lot of requests for updates of older characters tend to overlook the possibility that the IP is not owned by the current publishers, and would have to be licensed, increasing costs and hassle factor.

Follow-up, now that I'm back home and not typing on an itsy-bitsy phone keyboard: I have no objection to the Blood. In fact, I rather like the concept. But they were returned to Aaron even before DOJ bought the Hero Games assets, so that's a non-starter. I've considered introducing a similar concept into the current CU, and in fact have done some conceptualizing along those lines, but have so far decided against going further. I don't want to derail this thread discussing that further, though, so I'll start a new one.
