The Overseer
One of my players wishes his character to have retractable Questionite Claws (three guesses who his favourite comic character is) What, if any, benefits are there from using Questionite? I.e. what would the usual in game differences be between, say, a steel sword and a Questionite sword?
Dino
Re: Questionite Weapons Well, according to Champions Universe, Questionite blades "can cut through just about anything and never seem to lose their edge." The one example I can think of is the supervillain Scimitar whose weapon does 2d6 AP. A normal scimitar does 1d6+1 so making it out of questionite seems to have added two damage classes and made it armor piercing.

Bloodstone
Re: Questionite Weapons This exact power is written up in Gadgets & Gear. I believe it's AP, Penetrating (x2)

Hyper-Man
Re: Questionite Weapons Here's an excerpt from an old thread on building Captain America's shield: Ok, here's a full writeup of... 50 I've Got Claws!: Multipower, 75-point reserve, (75 Active Points); all slots Restrainable (-1/2) Notes: Figured damage totals assume a character with 20 STR. 5u 1) Slash!: (Total: 75 Active Cost, 50 Real Cost) Killing Attack - Hand-To-Hand 1d6+1 (1 1/2d6 w/STR), Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2), Armor Piercing (x2; +1), Penetrating (x2; +1) (70 Active Points) (Real Cost: 47) plus +1 with HTH Combat (5 Active Points) (Real Cost: 3) 5u 2) Thrust!: Killing Attack - Hand-To-Hand 3d6+1 (4 1/2d6 w/STR), Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2) (75 Active Points) Now see what you've made me do! Yes, an all out claw thrust can get by the basic and full defense shield slots but that's why it also has a deflect slot.
