An ability that adds to damage class?

How does one go about building an ability that adds to damage class, such as Offensive Shot (-1 OCV, -1 DCV, +4 DC, costs 4 character points) with whatever Weapon Elements you have trained?

Sounds like a job for Martial Damage Classes which have to be either Ranged or HTH only.

You might want to check out the Ultimate Martial Artist (or whatever the new one is called now; is it, "Hero System Martial Arts"?). It has optional rules for building new Martial Arts maneuvers.

You can also apply levels to increase the damage you do with an attack.

That also sounds rather similar to the Weaponmaster talent - I believe somewhere in the back of 6E1 there's a breakdown of how all the talents were constructed.

the maneuvers themselves add to the Damage Class. Also, Extra DC adds to the Damage Class of attacks used with the Martial Art, including weapons in Element. Unless this has changed in the 6e, in which case I can't help you.

Couldn't you also do CSLs with a Limitation "Only to add Damage Classes"? Use HtH CSLs for all melee weapons and empty handed attacks or the all combat CSLs to be able to add DCs to any attack you have.

Yes, you can. In fact, that's the way the Weaponmaster and Deadly Blow talents are constructed.
