Evenglare
Just as the question says, I own most if not all 6th edition books, but I was just wondering if there was some sort of fan site (or even on the boards) where I could see what some fans have made? Hyper-Man
The 'official' repository is the Hero Designer Vault: http://www.herogames.com/hdCharacters.htm However, you will be redirected to a login screen: https://www.herogames.com/login.htm Access to it is part of the 2 year $25 subscription plan for Hero Designer: https://www.herogames.com/viewItem.htm?itemID=202841 The best unofficial resources are: http://surbrook.devermore.net http://surbrook.devermore.net/index/archive.html http://killershrike.com http://killershrike.com/CharacterMaster/CharacterGenreList.aspx?r=0 There are several threads in the Champions forum as well as the other Genre forums. I have a smattering of 6e builds in the latter pages of this old thread: http://www.herogames.com/forums/forum/genres/champions/70580-the-classic-justice-league-starting-members-on-350-points?s=f39d39a8fee1857387f72dea36e926c2 but the last page is only viewable if you are logged OUT of the forum (something about the thread is broken when interacting with the new forum software). Lucius
What are you looking for specifically? If you'd like examples of superpowers, look to the Champions forum, magic spells or items could be found in the Fantasy Hero forum, etc. Hyper-Man in the post above gives a link to Surbrook's Stuff, which is great for just browsing characters. Killer Shrike's site has lots of stuff for Fantasy. Lucius Alexander I have lots of palindromedary taglines
Evenglare
Oh nothing specific. I just like looking over the stuff. I'd figured it would be on a wiki or something. Thanks though!
Killer Shrike
Not just fantasy...theres as much stuff for supers, and almost as much for modern / urban as well. The first tab is fantasy, but the menu or tab options take you into the other genres. http://www.killershrike.com/ Having said that most of the material was written for 5e, though almost all of it is still usable in 6e. The content I've been working on since 6e is Here There Be Monsters, an urban fantasy setting. http://www.killershrike.com/HereThereBeMonsters/HereThereBeMonsters.aspx
Evenglare
Thanks! I like looking at the recreations of stuff from final fantasy, and DBZ and just different well known characters and how they are built with HERO.
Michael Hopcroft
Thanks! I like looking at the recreations of stuff from final fantasy' date=' and DBZ and just different well known characters and how they are built with HERO.[/quote'] Most "modelers" don't count points when building media characters. but that doesn't mean seeing them isn't useful when building original characters when you do need to count points. If youo know how a Kamehama attack is modeled, that will help you build a similar attack within your power level. They can also help in setting power levels. If you want to have characters in the relative power range of a certain fictional character, then seeing various builds (everyone is likely to build them a different way, because Hero fans are just like that) will help you decide how many points you need to use. And of course those are just plain fun to read. Several of the threads on the boards will give you some ideas. There was a thread on how you woulc build some of the iconic Justice League characters on the standard starting points. Yes, Virginia you can build a 400-point Superman. Killer Shrike
Thanks! I like looking at the recreations of stuff from final fantasy, and DBZ and just different well known characters and how they are built with HERO.I rarely write up published characters; I prefer to do original work. For me, stating up fictional characters is too subjective, depending on what "version" of a character you are trying to model, assumptions about the setting they reside in, and different people's interpretations. So, while there are some build ups of published characters on my site, most are done by other authors...like Hyper Man's JLA 350. On the other hand, M. Surbrook does tons of write ups for published characters; if that's what you are looking for you should go there: http://surbrook.devermore.net/index/ http://surbrook.devermore.net/index/archive.html
