Samaritan
Hey all- This has probably been proposed before, but here goes- I'm trying to create a character that can cause another character's powers to go awry; mechanically, imposing the 'Uncontrollable' limitation on the target character. I'd like to hear suggestions on how to make this work.. Thanks!
Steve Long
Since only I can answer questions on the "Rules Questions" board, and this is something lots of people can probably contribute interesting ideas for, I've moved it to the open "Discussion" board. What do you think, Herophiles?
Killer Shrike
Do you mean "No Conscious Control" rather than "Uncontrolled"? Uncontrolled is an Advantage afterall. If you were to allow something like this at all, I'd say that youd have to pick a specific Power that the NCC could affect, and could expand this using the same Variable Effect Modifier available for adjustments. JMO, YMMV.
Rick
If these are permenant changes, Transform. If your like Scarlet witch, and one of your abilities is to make Cyclopses powers go awry, try a suppression of his powers, then, an variable SFX EB, W/indirect. That's just one example. A sufficient;y large V.V.P. should handle all of this, for a variety of powers.

JMO, YMMV. or if your GM allowed it, you could create a VPP that always takes this Variable Effect Modifier. Another option is simply inflicting Unluck via a Transform that is less-than-permanent. In any event, what are the SFX for this power, how do they make their opponent go kablooey? It would be helpful to know - for example, if it's mental, Mind Control with one single SFX ("force target to misfire/mishandle powers") would work. I reailze that example probably doesn't apply, just a for-instance.
