TheQuestionMan
Background/History: Evan son of Reid, War Chieftain of the Hill Clans was born 18 years ago. The fourth son of his father's second wife Raea. Raised and trained from birth as a warrior born. He would never inherit, but he quickly over shadowed his brother with his prowess. Fearing a civil war which would divide the tribe. He sent Evan to join the semi-independant war bands that patrolled their borders and raided their neighbours for supplies. Even's prowess again threatened the leader of the war band. When the goblinoids attacked he was sent to the neighbouring kingdoms to sound the alarm and the call to arms. Little knowing he was not expected to survive. Personality/Motivation: A warrior born, he lives for combat and glory. Unlike most of his people he has a soft heart and a sense of loyalty to his people despite his banishment. In his short time among the villages and city he prefers his life in the hills among his people. He suffers from a sour stomach and cannot consume alchohol. He dreams of one day returning to his tribe and raising them up while keeping their freedom. Powers/Tactics: A warrior born he prefers to use his throwing axes (Tomahawks) as he closes with his battleaxe and shield. A Barbarian he prefers hit and run tactics against Armored foes and when out numbered. When brawling he uses his superior strength and training to attack multiple targets. Ndreare
Cool character. Are you in a face to face game or online? I would say less than one in 10 characters look this well written. Although I would change the clinging to mastery of climbing or something.
mallet
He looks good. One thing that caught my eye was that he has the Survival skill twice. Once for "hills" and once for "temperate/subtropical". "Hills" isn't technically a subsection of any of the survival skill categories, so maybe keep Survival "Temperate/Subtropical" and then buy +2 skill levels in Survival with the limitation "Hills only" or something like that (if the GM is okay with limitations on skills), that would give your guy a Survival "Temperate/Subtropical" roll of 12- and if he is in the hills then it would be 14- with no extra cost (assuming the GM allows the limitation "hills only" to be worth -1). Another option (again if GM allows limitations on skills) would be to keep Survival "Temperate/Subtropical" at 12- then take +1 skill level in Survival with the "requires a roll" limitation with the roll being AK: Northern Hills. This would give you a 13- in Survival when trying to survive in the area around your home village (if you make the AK roll) and also save you 1 character point. NuSoardGraphite
Nice writeup! I dont see a lot of refinement that needs to be done here. this is obviously for 5th edition? i notice that you used figureds. With the rapid attack skill, it looks like this guy could specialize in attacking multiple oponents. in that case i would eventually add Defense maneuver so that he gets his full DCV against back attacks when wading into hordes of goblinoids, then can use the 1/2 phase to sweep multiple opponents, which leaves the other 1/2 phase for the 5pt version of Defense maneuver. TheQuestionMan
The character is for a Hero Central campaign called The Chronicles of Avandalus. Defense Maneuver I-IV is in his future. With some Combat Skill Levels. Survival (Hills) and Survival (Temperate/Subtropical) are part of two separate package deals. I do not know how to fiddle it to fit. Climbing Mastery for Clinging? It is Parkour for Barbarians Forgot a few Disadvantages... I will add them later. Thank you for the input.
