Arcangle
I'm new to Fantasy Hero. Are there any differences between the 5th edition Grimoire and the 6th edition Grimoire? (Not the differences between 5th and 6th editions of the Hero System, I alreay know those.) Basically, If I can find a copy of the 5th edition Grimoire for a good price, should I buy it or spring for the 6th edition pdf?

Ndreare
As a note when reading 6th ed grimoire, it is basily the two fifth ed grimoires combined. Some of the write ups are still in 5th ed format (point cost and names), but it is easy to ignore as the game mechanics are largly unchanged. Hyper-Man
I don't know if all the spell colleges are the same but many spell constructions will change between additions due to the change in powers. 5e will have Force Wall and in 6e that would be Barrier for example. Basically, It would require some work to convert if you plan to use as a PC's spellbook. It's still a useful source of inspiration on how to do "X" regardless of which set of rules you are playing in.
