I have used it as a mania where the character goes crazily obsessive like the sparks in Girl Genius. I've used it to represent freaking out at being shot at. This was independent of the attacker's actions (and my character had a fairly high PRE). He simply wasn't used to being shot at. Or failing an EGO Roll when hurt.
