Coil'ed 'em-elastic ability (5th rev)

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

Here's another how would you write up question. for the coil'ed 'em ability is the ability for the elastic guy to wrap is body around an opponent and still be able to attack said opponent with hands or feet.

Version 1: Extra limb (5pts) only to grab (-1/2) Real 3 pts

Version 2: Clinging (10 pts) Real 10 pts - I beleive that you can stick yourself to another and still be able to attack said opponent.

Thanks for your help as usual.

If I really wanted to define this ability separately, I'd go with the Extra Limb approach as it's already possible to Grab a character with just 1 Limb with a STR penalty.  The Extra Limb is just the effect of the stretchy character using their torso and portions of other limbs to immobilize a target.

I could maybe see adding this with XP to my version of Mr. Fantastic but he already has a Limited STR slot in his VPP for holding on to targets.  http://www.herocentral.net/get/files/premium/Dr.+Reed+Richards+6e+400.HTML

Clinging could stick you to a character and maybe even help you hold them but it wouldn't Grab them by itself. You would still have to Grab them or you would just be sticking to them, not restraining them.

There's also the Entangle with damage feedback option.
