Marvelfan007
Has anyone ever run a Agents of SHIELD or for Champions a Agents of UNTIL campaign?
Christopher R Taylor
I have not, but with the Super Agents book you have a good foundation for just such a game! Yes, its a bit dated (3rd edition) but its got great fundamental ideas and story concepts that are easily adapted to more modern versions. Dark Champions probably is where you'd turn for more up to date edition stuff but this is a classic.
Clonus
If I was going to run something like that, I'd run Green Viper Liberator.
Christopher R Taylor
I can't remember the name of the scenario, is that the one where superheroes are evil and took over, and the PCs run a resistance campaign from an old Viper base? I love that idea. I started a game up once with it but didn't get any further because of scheduling problems (one person went into military, one moved away, etc). wremus
Holy crap, the "Super Agents" supplement was written by Aaron Allston? How did I not buy that? I bet this book would still be an excellent source for a campaign involving a SHIELD or SHIELD-like scenario (UNTIL etc.).
zslane
Pretty much all of Aaron's work is excellent, but Super Agents in particular is stellar. Possibly the best thing he ever wrote for the Hero System. It is a shame it is so difficult to acquire these days. It's an even bigger shame that Aaron is not around to update it for 6e. It would be cool if Hero Games could get the rights to that book and then use it as the basis for a new 6e-compliant version of Dark Champions, rechristened Action Hero Complete. Christopher R Taylor
I managed to find an old one on amazon, used but not in too bad shape! Its great, lots of great ideas and tips on various types of campaigns. I liked Strike Force better, but its a slim win.
CaptnStrawberry
Same here, a used copy on Amazon for c. $6! Finally acquired Strike Force from ebay, $60+. But they both look great.
wremus
Strike Force is worth that. I have a copy from when it first came out...looking at it right now! It is great and worth every penny. I didn't know who Aaron Allston was, really, when I bought it. It was Strike Force that made me a huge fan of his.
