one idea i had recently was to have a dragon head cane then have it spray out either fire or another chemical acid pepper spray knockout gas etc

 

 

actually if you used pepper spray with a flammable propellant you could choose between fire and pepper spray just by not turning on the lighter as seen on mythbusters

 

alternatively you could use a cobra head and fill it with spitting cobra venom or something.

 

also you could add super bright LEDs to the eyes

Just go with hard wood with a lead or tungsten insert in the tip for extra heft. You could maybe have a small grapple of some sort to hook an opponent's arm or something.
