Will check out Fantasy Hero Complete, which Villain book is your favorite?

Just picked up some 6 Edition books on Amazon, Champions Complete and Champions Powers. Anybody else making this a HERO of a holiday? Also since I am on the topic what are the next 6e books I should be looking to acquire? Cheers, Glen

Re: Xbox 360 Version of Champions Online Being Held Back By MS Don't overlook the power of a new video card from ebay or newegg. I like using my 360 as well and it is a shame it doesn't have a great MMO like Champions yet.

Re: Xbox 360 Version of Champions Online Being Held Back By MS Well you should play it on the PC anyway, it looks great at 1680x1050. Many will say PC rigs are too many $$$, but I say building your own PC is like building your own lightsaber, it makes you a full geek and not just an padywan.

Re: Difference between games? That sounds like Champions to me. Plus I just like that they use words like Hero Points, Ego, etc.

Re: Difference between games? It is funny but I heard a guy on the computer boards being confused by all the stats including REC, PRE, and EGO, I decided to buy the game right then and there. It is a bit jarring when you seeing somebody mention Champions and Character Levels in the same sentence.

Re: Any new info on the X-Box 360 release date and if subscription is required for th Microsoft has to control online access to the X-Box for security reasons, when you combine that with the technical challenges of an MMO in a low RAM environment and you have a lot to overcome. But it is still possible, it will just lag (no pun intended) behind the PC version as far as release dates go. I think it would be great to see.

Re: Not good enough Many times I here people talking about adding RAM to up their rigs to play games, but almost always changing to a new video card is much more effective, especially if all you have now is integrated Intel graphics. I am been avoiding the MMO until Sept. 1st as I am working on my own games and I know this will be a time killer for me. But I will be buying and playing on the 1st.

Re: Foxbat? Why am I not surprised... Foxbat was always a good starter villain. Obvious in his methods and underpowered. He would be great in the tutorial mission or the first mission in a newbie zone.

Re: Hey Gang! Greetings Jack, I remember logging into the Champions server on CoH right after launch and chatting with somebody about herogames.com and that the pen and paper game was still alive. Now look at where things stand! Awesome! CoH was almost perfect, Champions will just put it over the top. My brother had this idea for vehicles, your character model just changes into the vehicle and you move at a faster rate but otherwise things are unchanged. An easy way to add vehicles on the streets of Millenium City. Loved the giant creatures from CoH, btw. Cheers!

Re: Using multiple Combat Maneuvers I can see where this puts multipower in its' proper place, but it seems like it the GM would be asked to make a judgement call concerning multiple attacks every phase of combat for every character. Do most people play the game this way or do you do a variant? I was considering allowing multiple attacks on one and only one phase of the character's choice each turn.

Does anybody have any ideas for running a Shadowrun-like Cyber Fantasy setting? I enjoy the Shadowrun world but Hero is the only game system for running a game IMHO. Do you just combine Fantasy Hero and Star Hero or are there any other products or sites that could help with this?

So is Matrix more Star Hero or is it more Champions? I would have to say after the last one it looked a lot more like champions to me, but before that I was leaning toward a Star Hero settings...
