Re: A Thread for Random Musings So as some of you may know, Viacom's contract with DIRECTV expired this Tuesday, so they pulled all their channels off it to make them pay more money. Which is stupid given that a. that cost gets passed along to the customers and b. many of those customers have discovered streaming options. So on DIRECTV's special website, they told customers that fans of The Daily Show and The Colbert Report that they could see the shows on their respective websites. Except that when DIRECTV did that, Viacom responded by taking most of those episodes off their sites. Thereby affecting fans who have cable or DISH and therefore wouldn't have cared until now. In business theory, this is what's called "a dick move." JG

Re: A Thread for Random Musings In our rotating-GM schedule of Tuesday games, I just finished my "Season 3 finale" of Pulp HERO. It ran an hour over schedule in a final combat where the defeated cult leader summoned a demoness who turned out to be mother to one of the PCs, and in the course of the incident the spell that locked him in human form was broken and he grew to 10 feet tall and beat his mother back to hell. And then after she disappeared he had to explain all this. This must be what post-coital depression feels like. JG
