  1. I believe there was a another Miss America published by another company around the same time as Timely's(DC owns the character now so it probaly was Quality Comics). Right now the only other one's I can think of is Yankee Girl, Major Glory, Ms. Victory, and a group of government heroes that appeared in the Outsiders vol. 1 (Major Victory, Miss Liberty, Shooting Star(?), and some others), and how about Liberty Belle does she qualify or were you looking for actual "Flag" wearers instead of "Patriot" archtypes?. Oh yeah, their was Americomando and a Mr. America too. Let me dig into it some more I know there was some more.

  2. I've always found remakes in the movies and on TV signs of laziness (though to be honus there have been two periods of time where due to a writers strike(mid to late 70's) and a threatened strike(about 6-7? years ago) they had no choice). But musically it doesn't bother me much except for certain remakes in the 50's(i.e. Pat Boone, etc.)

  3. Hey Blue, I think you need to get rid of the horizonal lines on Typhoon's costume or lighten them up. Or just adjust them up or down so that that one doesn't sit right above her breast. It just seems to throw the piture off.

EDIT- Maybe you could put them at an angle if you are trying for the cyclone effect.

Sure they could hang out with Lobo's space dolphins:)

I've always enjoyed the Conan, Elric, and John Carter series. How about the Thieves' World series? They were more a bunch of short stories than novels, but they were pretty good.

I liked the early Thieves' World stories and also liked the Liavek series too. It had an interesting take on magic. Especially liked the one about the camel:p

  6. Not really sure what your asking.

But if your asking how I would write this up:

I would add the RSR(System Operations) to the drive. And for the Kyastu I would give them Aid to FTL with reduced rate of return and Skill levels in System Operations and maybe some kind of END Aid to represent that the drive is operating more efficent.

The modern, post-crisis Wonder Woman is a killer -- and I'm not talking about her presence or COM score  In the Valhalla issue of Superman for example she kills a monster while cussing it out, and then talks calmly to Superman about why it was justified while covered in its blood. She's not on the Punisher's level but even a Moderate level of CVK would be unjustifiable IMO.

I like that character better compared with the PC/New Age speaking/vegan/we are the world: WW in the cuurent run:(

Hey, on this topic vaguely but enough to be on-topic I believe, Hermit (or anyone), did you read the Bizarro book, the one with all the alternate versions/stories of established DC heroes? There's a really cool comic in there with Wonder Woman talking with a friend of hers who gave up "the life", it's just girl talk, very well done and gives a glimpse into female superheroine interaction. It's brief, but I'd still recommend it.

Wasn't that the story with Supergirl(Kara Zor-el) and Mary Marvel instead of Wonder Woman? I think it was Mary that gave up the life.

EDIT- Found my copy and it is SG and MM. The name of the story is "The Clubhouse of Solitude" written by Dylan Horrocks(I wouldn't want to grow up with that last name;) ) and art by Jessica Abel, one of the best stories in the collection.

  9. Only two of characters could have kids and they already do:

Orion the Hunter(Green Arrow/Travis Morgan Clone) spent some time in our worlds Savage Land/Skarteris and married a warrior queen while there and they have a daughter who has followed in her dads footsteps as Artimis(and due to the chaotic temporal flucs of the Hollow Earth she's 17 even though only 5 years had past while he was there.

Cat(II) now this one gets a little complicated so bear with me and you might want to have some asprin handy;)

Cat (I) As an infant she was left on the steps of a Jessuit Mission near Shanghigh in 1886(her mutant powers of regeneration also exteneded her life span). She grew up to be one the worlds best martial artist, cat burglars, and hero of the Legion of Justice. Early in both her and Teleios' careers they met during a turnament where she defeated him. He of course became infactuated with her but, she didn't want anything to do with him. Shortly after Cat(I)'s demise during a battle with Dr Destroyer a younger Cat appeared this was Cat (II) who turned out to be a clone of Cat (I) created by Teleios who had been accidently released before all the memory download coud be completed during a raid by UNTIL on one of his labs. With only spotty and unreliable memories she took up where Cat(I) left off. Next Cat(I)'s body became possesed by a demon called Kal'i so it's still runnig around. Not to long ago Cat(II) was seduced by Teleios and before she could escape his influence she gave birth to twin girls. The group mystic then had a vision of the future where the world was a wasteland ruled by Kal'i and her top two commanders were the twins so he took them and sent one back in time to 1886 and the other to the future(2886) where she was raised by the reincarnation of Cat(I)[now Cat(III)and became Cat(IV).

So Cat (II) is the clone of her own daughter:eek: ;)

  10. If your looking for somthing a little newer try The Adventures of Hawk & Fisher by Simon Green (of Deathsalker fame). I know they have collected all the storys in a two volume set(Swords of Haven,Guards of Haven)plus the prequel(Blue Moon Rising) and the newest novel Beyond the Blue Moon. Lots of good ideas for any Fantasy game.

  11. You can locate it under anything if you want, you just make the surface building a buisness cover(of course all the employees don't need to know the truth). I've used restraunts/night clubs, Legal firms(S.P.E.C.T.R.E. of Bond fame used this one), record stores(You remember them don't you; they sell CDs now) ), etc. etc.
