Any commends on that solution for exorcism?
-
Currently I am just using the APG's Possession power for the demon and the exorcist uses Mind Control as a competing mental power to attempt to order the demon out. The Mind Control is written as cumulative so that over time it should grow strong enough to break the possessor's grip. Multiple exorcists could work together to break the demon's grip as well.
One thing to keep in mind for CROSS is that this is an action-packed spy setting where the exorcists need to keep up with the other character types. Due to this, Exorcists in this setting are at the top of their game. Christ grants them their exorcism power at high levels and in some cases they will be able to cast a low end demon out with nothing more than a glance. However, there are much more powerful possessors out there to make it a much more difficult and somewhat time consuming process.

Where is 2720 e madison?

So, I have a question about Artifacts and Relics. Which would you prefer?
1) A simple list artifacts
2) A list of artifacts each with a description/history
3) A list of artifacts, a description/history and a suggested write-up.

How many sets?

Yes in a superhero world you could have super-power agents and allies. Super beings would be seen as Satanic if there was proof or cause to believe they were Infernal.
For superhero worlds there is a division of CROSS specifically for supers, but small latent abilities could be part of an agent elsewhere in the organization. That said, most of CROSS are normals. The Superhero angle is there to use if you choose to.
-
Lately, I have been wondering if anyone has any ideas for how saints (think Deities in Fantasy) could interact with the world more than just being the source of a character's power.
-
It would depend on how superpowers are done in the world you add CROSS into. I think in the CU, CROSS would be relatively tolerate of supers and would also have some supers of their own. In a grittier, Dark Champions setting they may be more suspicious of supers and will be very careful with whom they align with.
-
What CROSS doesn't stand for is using infernal/occult tools to solve CROSS issues.
-
Absolutely, they can even work with non-Catholics that get paid by CROSS as consultants. That's not saying that a situation of conflict couldn't happen causing strain between faiths.
-
Well, no big update this time, but here is what I am working on:
1) Finished a draft of the chargen section of the book and shipped it off to my new player
2) Two CROSS playtest sessions scheduled
3) CROSS NPC page on blessedmachine.com in production
4) Pulling in notes from all over and trying to get into a single document
-
And those Disadvantages may be worth less points on a duplicate than on a non-duplicating character.
-
Write it so I can buy it.
-
No, you have to be Catholic, but you don't have to take vows or make promises unless you also choose to be a Priest.

Re: CROSS: Secret Agents of the Vatican Source Book Have you considered making it a multi-system book? It seems like it a Savage World or Cinematic Unisystem conversion would not be overly difficult.
If there are any Savage Worlds & Hero System experts on the boards please PM me.

Garycon Results
Things went very well on the two CROSS sessions at Garycon. The players really got the setting I was trying to make and really pushed the scenes to play up both the spy angle and the Catholic angle that is so much a part of what I have been trying to build with CROSS. That said, I saw some holes in the setting that I will be trying to fix over the next several weeks. In general, though, I feel that I can now solidly write the Character Creation side of the CROSS source book so that will begin in earnest. Wish me luck! And a big thank you to any of my Garycon players that may be watching this space. Thanks so much!
