  1. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Well, there IS a lot to brag about. Though it's funny to watch Josh log in and say, "You guys have posted THREE PAGES of stuff since I last logged in?!?!?!?" ^ v ^
  2. Re: Musings on Random Musings Yes. That's what this thread is for, isn't it?
  3. Re: Musings on Random Musings Because you, too, are human underneath it all, zorn. The human brain rebels at the idea of being bored to death.
  4. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER ^ v ^ Not to mention how it makes him an easy target for my character . . . Actually, that's not true. My character is mostly unaware of the power she COULD have over people, if she just tried. But then, I've never been very good at blatant.
  5. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Oh, ick. Did you have to put it THAT way?
  6. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER I think I'm all tapped out from yesterday. Either that, or the boredom has seeped into my NGD functions.
  7. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Probably a sabotage attempt.
  8. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER I just got to meet a barn owl. He'd been hurt, and is being released back into the wild. He was all wide-eyed and puffy when I peeked in at him. Kinda like me in the morning. ^ v ^ I also got to meet 2 snakes and hold them. One was really little, and fit in the palm of my hand (all coiled up). The other one was probably about 3 feet long, and got draped on my arm. They both perked up a little when I touched them, probably because my hands are warm. I love weird animals. ^ v ^
  9. Re: A Thread for Random Musings I found Josh's missing sock today. I'd thought I lost it when I did laundry Sunday. It was stuck to my sweater, and I found it when I put on said sweater today. So yay. Josh can go back to wearing his slipper socks to bed again.
  10. Re: NGD Scenes from a Hat Drat. Okay. NT: Things you'll never hear during a roleplaying session.
  11. Re: NGD Scenes from a Hat I'm going off Skaramine's topic:
  12. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER It's odd to think of, and it wouldn't occur to most people. But it is why milk is generally just as filling as a mid-sized meal. I'm trying to think of other things she spouted off, but I think I've blocked out most of them. See, her mother's schizophrenic, or at least halfway there, so she had a lot of bizarre ideas about the world, which were passed on to Wolf (the roommate). So Wolf goes around with these strange ideas until someone corrects her. Most people are too polite to correct her.
  13. Re: NGD Scenes from a Hat "The good news is, we won't have to worry about our debt anymore!"
  14. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Well, she once protested the idea of drinking milk to simulate fullness in her stomach - because she'd just drank grapefruit juice, and "It'll turn to a solid in my stomach and make me sick!" I explained that the acid in her stomach is WAY stronger than the acid in grapefruit juice, and that milk makes you feel full BECAUSE it turns into a solid. She just stared at me like I'd sprouted a new head.
  15. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER I've never seen it, but Josh has a story about one of his cats eating some yarn, and his mother needing to yank. I cringe every time I hear that story. And then there's my former roommate, who maintains that tinsel, Easter grass and hair can eviscerate a cat from the inside - "Because it has sharp edges!" Yeah, she's not all there.
  16. Re: A Thread for Random Musings What's with Little Miss Spammer, all of a sudden? Does that actually WORK?
  17. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Yeah, close enough to a disease.
  18. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER o v O Like a disease?
  19. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER . . . . Someone mentioned the Red Sox?
  20. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER What is this 'live' you speak of?
