  1. Re: Are the 5th edition heroes to weak?

I actually no longer have any expectations. I'm currently playing M&M; and one of the first things Green Ronin did for Freedom City was publish golden and silver age hero write ups in the Annual. They wanted to build the back story of the Freedom City Universe and make it more like a comic book. Nice to know it worked well for them. :)

I have to say that the 2nd Edition book is FANTASTIC! I am thinking of changing my current CU campaign over to use the M&M system.

  2. Re: Your Costume is always Clean.

You know, Champions: New Millennium has a talent which costs 3 OP (equates to 3 CP in Hero System) called Schtick[\i]. I think this fits well with what you want to do. Why go through procedure to construct a power with loads of limitations to get simple effect?

3 SCHTICK: Costume is always clean.

  3. Re: Help - Fuzion to HERO and back again.

What do you want to know?

    STR/5 = Fuzion STR

DEX/3 = Fuzion DEX (Fuzion REF is OCV)

    (PD+ED)/4 = Fuzion CON

    STUN/5 = Fuzion Body

    INT/3 = Fuzion INT

    EGO/3 = Fuzion Will

    PRE/3 = Fuzion PRE

    Inches Running/1.5 = Fuzion MOVE

There is no equivalent to COM in Fuzion other than Fuzion Talents. Just give the character a COM equivalent to the OP cost you spend on talent.

    Fuzion PP = Hero CP/5

    Fuzion OP = Hero CP

For powers simply rebuild the Fuzion Power using the SAME Hero Power.

    Each +/- 1 for a Fuzion Advantage or limitation equals +/- 1/4 Hero Advantage/Limitation.

ex: If you have a limitation that gives a -2 in Fuzion the that would be an equivalent -1/2 limitation in Hero.

I think that is about right.

Btw, if anyone has the Champions: New Millennium Alliance and/or Bay City book I am willing to buy them if you are looking to get rid of them.

    Thanks.

  4. Re: Sin City movie question

    I hate the Matrix films.

The Matrix - I loved the first film.

Matrix 2 - I was fine with this film with the exception of the Zion Dance/Love Making Scene and part where the film was snipped and a TO BE CONTINUED... was displayed. I was disgusted with how this film finished up.

Matrix 2: The Ending - The film sucketh, IMO.

Sin City was fine. I knew nothing about the graphic novel but I figured out that the characters must be extraordinary in some respects to be able to take the punishment some of them were taking in the movie.

  5. Re: ??

You guys know that there isnt any proof that the minotaur isnt a good guy here, rescuing the unconscious woman from some cruel imprisonment...

Unless the standard in your campaign world is "Ugly is always Evil."

Agreed. I answered very similarly before I read the 2nd page of the post.

  6. Re: ??

As you walk down the alley the wall to the left explodes outward in a shower of brick. Out of the hole steps a large heavily muscled creature with the body of a man and the head of a ox. He carries what looks to be an unconscious woman in his arms.

    Phase 12, go.

Not to make the assumption that the creature has indead harmed the woman I would simply ask, "Do you seek aid for the lady?" then hold my action to see how the creature reacts.

  7. Re: Your Opinion Please - Four-Color Appropriate?

Have you ever seen The Frisco Kid?

Great movie, pre Star Wars Harrison Ford. I need to rent it. Near the end Gene Wilder has a brief monolog that starts "How DARE you judge a person by the way they look?" That's what I need to quote here..

    *Off-topic*

Star Wars appeared in 1977. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0076759/

    *Back on topic*

That figure is fine as long as the character writeup with backstory and actions are all four color approprite.

  8. Re: Robert E Howard or J.R.R. Tolkien?

Tolkein I can read over and over again. Howard has always been a chore. It's something I read because it seemed that I was supposed to like it. I've tried and it puts me to sleep.

    Keith "YMMV" Curtis

I agree with you Keith. I can read Tolkein over and over again. I like the Conan stories but I liked reading Robert Jordan written Conan novels better than Howards. I can't seem to get past the third Howard Conan book.

Now, saying that I liked Robert Jordan would imply that I can read the Wheel of Time series. I can't read more than about 10 pages then I put it down.

  9. Re: Hero is broken

And in the original version of Shadowrun' date=' you could stuff a grenade down your shorts and suffer - at worst - a Moderate Wound (it takes three Moderate Wounds and 1 Light Wound to be killed in SR).[/quote']

try this in an elevator and you should be paste. oh, wait, that was 2nd edition shadowrun.

  10. Re: Adventures of The Noble Foundation

Well actually I was never clear on that. As far as I know Anxiety removed the Mind control that Mentalla had put on him returning his mind to its actual state.

I do appose puting him back on Cyberline, but I dont know an alternative since he WANTS to go back on Cyberline.

Well, I guess Anxiety's powers "convinced" him of his evil ways. :)

I had to miss this past weekend because my Little League Baseball team had their team cookout Saturday. The good news was that Batman Begins rocks. :D

  11. Re: Adventures of The Noble Foundation

And we are the good guys?

    *shudder* :)

Now, the altering of Treason's mind was talk. Did Anxiety actually do this to him?

I know The Bug will have a serious problem if the group starts giving Treason cyberline again. I think Gunmetal might be with me on this one.

  12. Re: Roll the dice once - worth anything?

I don't see anything wrong with it. I think you just need to make sure the player accepts the results for both powers. He could roll really, really well for both. Or the 4 dice could roll really, really crappy for the one power.

It would save time. Maybe give the character a -1/4 or -1/2 lim for it. Just as something to seal the deal because I think some players wouldn't go for it.
