Doesn;t always work. The remake of "The Mummy" (the recent one) didn't seem to make people nervous about watching Tom Cruise movies. It did however make the studio nervous about reviving its classic monsters on film !

Not currently reading any pulp fiction, but a useful book for any pulp gm that I have started is "Last Talons Of The Eagle" by Gary Hyland and Anton Gill. It is about the various Nazi experimental (and some not so experimental) aircraft that were developed during (and sometimes before) World War ll Certainly the helicopters developed by Flettner (some of which were used during the war) could be of use in a pulp campaign. I have just reached the section on the Horten Brothers and their "flying wings'. Lots more to come I am sure !

49ers couldn't quite get it dome against the Giants. Kudos to Manning, he made the winning drive when it counted. Once again the 49ers started the game okay, but couldn't finish off. Frustrating !

Will Mueller's move of going through the Southern District of New York for his endigtments and sealing much )or at least some) of the evidence that hasn't been made public yet protecting him from the sycophant that Trump has named as acting Attorny General ?

Was watching CNN and some of the people there were saying that it is more likely that Whittaker will starve Mueller of funds (as he suggested in an interview some time ago) to bring the investigation to an end, then suppress any report. Win for Trump. loss for democracy and the rule of law.

What are the 49ers doing ? A little while ago they looked like they were a certainty for the number one pick in the draft, now they could be picking at four or five ! Can't even tank properly !?

I am surprised that ho one has mentioned "Sympathy For The Devil" by The Rolling Stones yet. Someone mentioned Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London" (of course !) but given the number of Slasher flicks, some built around Halloween, wouldn't "Exciteable Boy" by appropriate as well ?

No, but there seems to be (And I admit ti being an outsider looking in on this) an unprecedented level of insults and threats , much of it coming from Trump, that appeared to have stirred things up to an unhealthy level.

49ers seem to be their own worst enemies ! Injuries , dropped balls in the end zone(and everywhere else) , missed tackles. You name it they seemed to be trying to lose that match. Who is likelty to be the number one draft pick next season, and why are the 49ers trying so desperately to secure that pick ?

I mean, I kind of get where he's coming from. Trump's foot is permanently attached to his upper palate, and he's so immersed in the world of unnecessary superlatives, hyperbole, and sales talk (and lying), that he probably would get in trouble. And yes, honest, true statements can be twisted, like Hillary's "deplorable" comment got trimmed to make it sound like all Republicans were deplorable.
Just . . . it was a very maladroit way to say that, especially from a lawyer. If he'd used Richelieu's "If you give me six lines written by the hand of the most honest of men, I will find something in them which will hang him" bit, it would have conveyed the problem and sounded elegant (yes the quote is maybe fake)
Still, aren't lawyers supposed to be like surgeons for argument? good words and all that?
