Notes: The game has run for a bit and but 2 players had to drop from the game. So I've got 2 open slots now.

I'm not trying to spoil to much about the character as I think it would be fun for the new person being put on the team learn about them their.

    Game Description:

Hear me now and answer the call of Agartha, a savage world reborn from the ashes of ancient cataclysms. The great cities have fallen and civilizations’ grip on the world has grown arthritic. Dark magic’s grows seeking to renew lost covenants. Strange and primordial beasts now roam the lands once more. A new savage age has risen, This is the time of ancient gods, warlords and kings. Everyone is a survivor now building in the ashes of great cataclysm. Welcome to Agartha a savage world. This is a land where the lines between science and sorcery blur, where the remnants of forgotten epochs hold both beauty and horror, and where every discovery could herald either doom or salvation.

Your journey will be one of high adventure, set against a backdrop where ancient gods, warlords, and kings vie for supremacy in an age of savage wonder. As survivors building anew in the aftermath of the great cataclysms, you and your fellow adventurers will explore strange lands, battle terrifying creatures, and unearth treasures beyond imagining and more.

This game is set in the hollow earth set in my superhero universe. So the world is quite strange. Humanity in The Savage world has reached appears to have Medieval levels of technology Mixed with strange magical technologies or to some hyper advanced technologies there is no difference here.

In Agartha you can run into anything. There are the classic fantasy races as well as other stranger ones. You have your Elves, Orks, Dwarfs, Beastkins and More. This game is a sandbox so you can pretty much go anywhere and do anything.

  3. Yes, but it would count as Megascaled Movement, no mater how little over 1m you move. And even just 1m would count as a Full Move already. 0.5m would be the halfmove.

Megascaled Teleport afaik costs you 1 or 2 full phases at half DCV before you move (I think it was more with Teleport, as you can not use velocity maneuvers with it to begin with).

You would need to use at least the 1m=10m scaling factor to move 9m with it. Wich also means miss teleports would go 1m = 10m off target as well.

If you miss teleport at a 1m=10 km Scaling factor, you might easily end up further away from your target then you started.

Megascaled, FTL and EDM have one thing in common: They are not suiteable for combat use. You can not use them for Velocity based attacks (even if the base power was thus useable). And using them in combat usualyl puts you at massive CV disadvantage.

Regarding the minimum ammount of Movement Crusher Bob mentioned, als keep in mind that Change Environment affects the movement before the scaling.

Change Environment (-1m of Teleport Movement) would utterly block that power from working ingoing or outgoing.

So there is a bunch of really good reasons (Miss Teleport scale, CE vulnerability, need to use Megascale Multiplier on short distances, GM saying no for game balance) to not overdo it with Megascaling.

Thanks guys I found the page for the rules on mega scale. Also I don't need 1m - 10m after reading it.

  4. If you have teleport 1m and you put mega scale 1m = 10km can you teleport to any number between 1m to 10km ?

so with that could I teleport lets day 9m with in that mega scale ?

I'm not really good with math so I got a little confused when another player tried to explain it to me.

  5. SuperHeroes is my favorite genre to run or play.  But no one actually wants to play SuperHeroes any more.

They want Deadpool or Punisher or some other murder-hobo with powers.

The idea of a recurring themed Master Villain as an ongoing archenemy just doesn't seem to occur to anyone anymore.

And just forget modern players working together to create superHeroes that will complement each other and set the stage with opportunity for the GM to weave a great story.

I have a great group of roleplayers and we can have fantastic games with everything from FATE and GUMSHOE to Shadowrun to even D&D 5th.  Fun games that take full advantage of  storytelling/narrative in the systems.

But try to do anything with superpowers and the current excuse for comics rear their ugly heads and you get Murder Hobo's Inc.

So the closest thing I have run in the supers world is ICONS with the flavor if the Tick or the animated Teen Titans (2003-2006 version).

Though to admit, my current group is very story oriented and have actually read a comic that doesn't involve a drug addicted murder-hobo becoming a sober murder-hobo.  I've been working up a small campaign to try in the new year.

    I love playing real superheoes

  6. First you need to find out which character has the higher DEX which determines the Initiative for that Phase.

IF the character attempting to move has the higher DEX, THEN they get to move before the attack.

IF they both have the SAME Dex THEN a DEX vs. DEX roll needs to be made to see who has the Initiative.

IF the Attacker wins the DEX roll off OR already has the higher DEX, THEN the character attempting to move can only do so as a Defensive Abort action which would require the use of the Dive For Cover Maneuver (which imposes penalties based on how FAR they try to move) OR the Flying Dodge Maneuver*.  Also, characters cannot Abort to a non-combat movement ability; it must be their Combat movement.

*Flying Dodge is a special Martial Arts Maneuver typically only available to speedsters. It does NOT have a 'real world' equivalent according to UMA5e or HSMA6e.

If mega scale is full phase does that not mean it takes them a full phase to get to the max range and if the phase is not done yet before someone attacks then could they not hit ?

  7. So I have a PC and a NPC both going on the same phase. One PC wants to use Mega Scale Flight to move out of range of the NPC's bow. Now because he using Mega Scale I believe that His action to move at 48,000km is happening at the same time. SO as he is flying out he would still be with in range but his DCV would go up. I rolled she got three one's so I said she hit. He is not trying to tell me no everything does not happen at the same time.

Can some one tell me if all the action during a single phase happen at the same time which explains why he would still be in range for a shot happening the same phase.

  8. Everyone wants to Play a Superhero, but few want to GM.

Heh! That's me too. I can always get Players, but have a hard time finding GM's even among my gaming groups.

Superhero campaigns ate a lot of work even for "Simple Game Mechanics"

For me its a Gamer thing...

P.S.: I can never find a Shadowrun Group, but can always find Players. Rarely GM's.

I'm will to GM a superhero game if you want to play. I've been looking for a superhero game to play in but if no one is willing to run I will do it. SO let me know if you want to play.

  9. Ok so I uploaded a text file of the character sheet.

So far when I ask him what he wants to play. He seems to want a character who is so intelligent he can warp reality. He uses tat to change who he is to be like ben 10 and be able to change into at least 5 other forms.

This is his first form called Alpha. Then he can copy other heroes

    Chance Powers.TXT

  10. I'm using Champions 6th ed

So I'm using the Primus in the Stander Champions setting

I was trying to figure out stats for

    Golden Avengers

    Sliver Avengers

    Stander Primus Agents

I was think normal primus agents with out any powers would be the level of special forces. So I guess like Shield from Marvel.

I guess for non powered ones there would be three threat levels I guess if I was running primus.

Level 1 = Low Threat: They carry normal Primus gear like the plasma rifle, armor and so on

Level 2= High Treat: I imagine would have even better armor and more powerful weapons and things to hold very dangerous powers

Level 3 = Omega Threat: I Think would have on Powered Armor Along with even more powerful weapons.

  11. Well anyone want to help I just created a wika page but have not set anything yet.

I think no house rules would be good. Maybe use the tiered system for power level in the book. Also for the villains use it can be broken up by the alpha and omega stuff from the villains books.

  12. Sure, you wouldn't put game writeups in place.  Take a look at the Marvel Comics or DC Comics sites for how their heroes are presented.  There's no need for game data, just info on their powers, their history, their personality, where they're found in various editions of write ups, and maybe some stuff on what they did in the champions universe.

Yea that sounds good. Also iif the people who made there own characters we could put them on there also to fill out the "UNTIL Data base."
