I wanted to know if is mandatory with in the rules of champions 6th to have to buy a power to do anything ?
For example
Character has super strength and a sword and wants to cut lets say a tree down. I'm being told by my GM you have to buy transform to do that. Is that mandatory with in the champions system ?
Also just picking up weapons from fallen enemies you can use them with out paying for them right ?

Just a few more.
I have lots of images for characters and locations. Mostly posted alot of shadowrun images in the shadowrun forums but as of late I got a hold of alot of super images so let me post a few more
Name: Julie Andrews

Powers: Super Strength, Super Speed, Invulnerability, No Need for Sleep, Earth Control, Able to Summon any tools needed for a job, Powers over construction and demolitions, Sledge Hammer can send a strong shock wave, Able to deflect bullets, Immune environmental effects such as extreme heat and cold.

When not fighting she works as a construction worker helping quickly fix damage done during super fights. I really love playing up. I enjoy having my character have to figure out how to help people can keep his loved ones from finding out what he is and what he can do.

Long Teleport: Teleportation 1m, No Relative Velocity, Position Shift, x2 Increased Mass, Armor Piercing (+1/4), MegaScale (1m = 100 km; +1 1/2) (58 Active Points); Requires A Roll (INT roll; -1/2)
Its in a multipower for teleport I have a no cost short range teleport but I ant this long one to be boosted.
-
I wanted to know how in hero designer do I build a suit that amplifies a teleportation power and makes the person in it able to teleport father and more accurately.
-
I would like to see a champions adventure that starts at street level then goes global then goes into the future and past.
-
That seems kind of limiting to me. I play some one like the punisher to shoot the enemy's gun to destroy it I would need dispel for that
-
So fa I'm loving the hero system but I have a question. It seems like the people I run it with always say to do something you have to buy an effect to do it. I wanted to know if you really need to buy every effect just to do something.
An example
I use super strength to swing a sword to cut off a speedsters leg. I hit him but apparently I'm being told I need to use transform to take off his leg to make it so he can not run on his to legs. Is this correct ?
I feel like you should not need all these effects to do something when his leg should come off if I hit it that had with a sword.
Another example
Using ice blasts to cool off a hot object. I should not need dispel heat. When I already have ice blasts

Hmmm if they will not put out a book then I guess I can make a forum thread and we can fill it with heroes people put in there games in the background
-
Maybe rather then putting out whole books they create a wiki page with tons of champions hero's around the world.
-
-
Will they make a book for heroes ?
-
I wanted to know if there is a book champion book that gives superheros like the villains books ?
for 6th ed

Not really a supervillian crime idea just a mission idea for a GM to run.
A famous superhero costume designer gets kidnapped by a super villain and they have to find him or they will have to use the second best super suit creator

Well if you want an idea of dieselpunk
Try checking out the movie The Shadow
The game take place after the end of world war 2 but world war 3 is starting to loom on the horizon when a new enemy is stepping forth out of the smoke like a child's nightmare. The streets have become crime ridden as criminals take advantage of so many people going to war.
During wold war 2 the Nazi's tried to invade the US through NYC the fought their way in land and took and held a good part of NYC. it was soon found they were not invading but looking something in the Bronx what ever it was when they found it he caused a huge explosion at one of their labs which gave the military and a group calling themselves The New Yorkers. They forced the enemy out and cleaned up and rebuilt it better then before and made it symbol of our victory but its been many years since then. A year after the rebuilding strange events seem to always center around the Bronx and resonate out. Scientists are still trying to figure out whats causing it but life must go on. The strange things going on in the Bronx has caused massive discoveries in science.
I don't want to put much more for fear of spoiling to much.
This is an alternate 1940's with more advanced tech but with a dieselpunk look to everything. Their are flying cites and many other things.
thinking the game will be a 300 point game but it can be flexible if you have a really awesome character idea.
Having to buy powers for everything
in Champions

transform the power
the gm tried to explain it to be by saying you have to use transform to cut some one in half such as a robot so you will need to buy that to cut down a tree.
I don't think you should have to buy a power to do things your power already does if its rarely going to come up. Like having super speed then using it to quickly type up a paper so you can get back to crime fighting.
