  1. Re: Daily Art Findings Now for something a bit different. I am experimenting with using my time and tested brown sepia wash work (often used for interiors) and then doing a bit of spot "digital watercolor". I think it gets a neat vibe. Half "environemental", but meant for a webpage backdrop for the Varda Chronicles. 5. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Here is a project that is near and dear to me. It is the Mavericks. Which is one of the superteams in the RDU Champions game that I've been a part of for over 18 years. It still goes on in a PBeM and the players and GM got together to commission this. The RDU has its own wiki, so if you are interested, check it out here. The link will take you directly to the Mavericks themselves... but poke around the massive campaign setting: http://rdu.wikispaces.com/The+Mavericks These works are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 2.5 License. http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/2.5/
  6. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. The aiming reticle was ALL Death Tribble. I cannot take credit for that at all... it was in the write up for me when I got the concept to do next.
  7. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. A duo for the nutty, incomparable Death Tribble (love ya man!). First up, Col. Blinky! Then a red (orange-y redhead) headed pharoah-ess... 9. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Magic *can* be green... ... especially denoting nature magic, "good" magic. But I use blue, purple and red for magic and superpowers. Red for agressive, "evil" magic...although sickly yellow green works for that great too! Purple is a great color to use magic or superpowers for as well because its not seen overly much. Yellow, red, blue are pretty common. Purple, not so much. Often it depends on the overall color scheme as well.... I used "green" because it pops on THIS (see below) overall red scheme... not because I was making some kinda statement on what the spell is... I have no idea what the spell is, I just liked doodling that visual for the spell... sometimes I do stuff for no particular reason except I want to.
  10. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. I like blue? The Kris is a Dagger of Water Drake Slaying. Seemed like Sea green blade would point nicely in that direction. The Sword can summon lightning a couple times a day in the write up. Again, to indicate otherworldliness... blue is an awesome color for that, because it doesn't occur in nature all that often (don't quote blueberries or the sky, this is a comparitive statement to all the grey, greens and browns we see in the natural world). So, yeah... I was going for unique... as these are items of unique power. Make sense?
  11. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. She has no official name. I've always wanted to use her as teh daughter from the future for my main PC. But my GM ended up using her as an evolution of already established character.

  24. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Enforcer, I just use a font called Coventry Garden, its a downloaded font, just do a search for it. Hey folks, been awhile. For Death Tribble, here is his Silver Swan For MessK's Rifts game, here is Thorn. And from my own, just-brand-newly-started campaign, Spirit of Sharn, here are the PC Redcloaks. A quickie doodle at the Tburg Gimmie Coffee. We are using the Spirit of the Century/ FATE engine to run the Eberron campaign.
