  1. Re: campaign start off adventure

If I'm starting with a new group who have not gamed with me before, I still use the original viper's nest along with the bbb's scenario's. Both work for a dark champs run with a little trimming and both work with four color game and it is easy to run them together as one big adventure.

Reminds me of the first Champions licensed figures. The Player Character types had heads and arms that glued into place. Each type had a spru with 3 left 3 right & 3 heads. I never was able to get one put together that looked like a human. From the pics I've seen above, your set has some meat to it. Good luck.

  3. Re: Superheroes to Keep, Superheroes to Lose

While my favorite character (and boardname) Hawknight was a rip of Batman, Moon Knight & Battle of the Planets, I was never big on using comic characters from any company even with a change of costume or name. But while perusing the art slots on these boards and other companies boards, I noticed alot of character art that was a homage to comic books. Now I use the art and stat it out for Hero and maybe a lucky player will have a Batman Rogues Gallery ripoff to battle as their group of nemisis'.

  4. Re: Bring Out The Old!

    Great revamp Ninja Bear.

I used Frizbe (Enemies 1) along with Skate Kate, Marbles & Tag (converted to a female) from CLOWN, Sparkler (Enemies 3) and some homemade ladies as a group for Punchinello (his Toys).

I used Hideous (Enemies 1) as a tragic street hero who just wants to be left alone.

I used Crusader as written in Underworld Enemies. He always starts off new adventures in Hudson City with new players and ends up in the Fall after a game year, leaving the protecting of HC to them.

Punchinello and Snapdragon (Enemies International) Punch is a woman hater who runs a gang of women to rob and terrorize. Snap runs a drug cartel and has had to come to Hudson City to help the gangs stop the heroes.

Sledge works for the Mob as a Uberthug.

Rainbow Archer (Enemies 3) is a merc.

Go to Storn's art post. There are a ton of characters to use for vigilante/villians in a Dark Champions game. I have downloaded so many to re-create for my own games that it would take me a year to stat and orgin them all.

Plus any of the art posts can give you inspiration. I also go to Mutants & Masterminds Atomic Think Tank Drawing board. Pages of art from guys working in the biz and others just showing off their talents. So much to look at and make up to get your players.

  6. Re: Arch Enemy Template

Just a nitpick, but Harley should not have a secret ID as she has been captured and outed. Most Gothamites know her identity, maybe not when they see her in civvies, but when she is in her combat outfit.

  7. Re: Superhero Images

Crusader was blue and red in the First & Second edition Champions & when Dark Champions came out and he was ret-conned to Hudson City, his costume became black & grey.

Wildcat AWESOME picture emphasis on the awesome. That just became my laptop's background. I to have used Crusader in a Dark Champions Animated run as the aging hero who pulls all the new heros (player characters) into the Underworld. Please post some game stories on the Dark Champs forum. And please post more art.

  8. Re: Tanghal tower

This was one of the best adventure series to rig to another genre. I used it to start my fourth ed Dark Champions game with a group of new players. Microfilm Madness turned to a mob accountant depositing his account disc as insurance against the mob in a government run depository. Leaked out to the underworld, vigilantes & villians rushed to secure the disc. Tanghal Towers was evidence of one of the mob family's crimes against another family. Vigilantes had to survive multiple machine gun attacks to get the evidence (which was files, photos and a body). Christopher Park was the aforementioned accountant wanting to turn over on the mob, and the mob hiring villians to wipe out him and the Vigs. Used Triggerhappy, Swansong and Spike for massive mayhem. Viper's Nest became an attack on the mob's HQ using the mansion from the BBB. If I run it again, I will use Card Shark as the instigators of the mob war and Viper's Nest will be one of their HQs.
