  1. Re: Help - Criminal Organization

The T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents comic back in the 60's had an organization named SPIDER. On the cover of the first appearance was a guy with 6 arms in a sort of Hawaiian shirt and slacks. Don't know what the initials spelled.

Dark Champions has different types of mooks made up for you to use.

Google x-men wikis for ideas for different mutant powers and levels.

Teen Champions has a high school set up with different grades of students with powers.

"Bad News for Dr. Drugs" from the 80's has a great high school location and some normal teen gang members. Totally useful for just about every type of game - 4 color, Dark Champions, even used it for a Cheerleader Witches Coven game once. Check Ebay.

Good luck. It sounds like a fun undertaking.

  3. Re: What are some things , in terms of storytelling/plot, that are "off limits" in yo

While I've done some very graphic descriptions of murder, torture and general rip a body to shreds in my old DC games, I have never and would never describe a rape situation as it happens. Too creepy for me. Would have to just say "(Victim) was sexually assaulted" and leave it at that. Would never use that act or any part of it as a defining clue of who the bad guy is. Not even for Germ.

  4. Re: A Real life "Plain Jane"?

4th edition Dark Champions had a character named "Plain Jane". A low level mutant, she slowly faded out of the sight and minds of her family. She has an invisibility always on zero end. She could be seen in pictures or video (she stood onstage next to the president and fired a gun. The Secret Service dogpiled the Pres, but could not locate the shooter even though she was still on stage). She was a deux ex machina as she could see meetings with crime figures and leave notes or email to the heroes.

  5. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread.

Love the Turtle armor, Goes well with the original TURTLE armor from Champions (What if a height challenged hero/villian modified TURTLE armor). Definatly have to work up a character for that pic.

    Great to see you back!

  6. Re: Avatars: The -other- Patriots

"the old Champions adventure Wrath of the Seven Horsemen introduced a great gimmick for generating this kind of character "

This was the way I created Libertyman. A Primus Silver Avenger, he was hit with the scepter's ray and a radiation blast that caused him to powerup without being controlled by Terror. He had a total Patriot slant, like Captain America in the '70s, and while he always backed up his teammates or guest star heroes, he lectured about democracy, freedoms and what you had to do to earn them. Was a hoot to piss off my fellow players and got me alot of roleplaying experience points.

Perfect time to bring back the Aquans from 3rd edition. Just the scenario to use Nereid for full effect. They could be used to attack the governing board of BP to make an example for all companies who are ocean drilling that they will be held accountable.
