  1. UncleVlad, Thanks for the response. Yeah, my math is off. I haven't determined how I want to do the rounding, since the error is the "in favor" rule. I believe this helps. My group does have Hero Designer, but it's a bit cumbersome for a few of us. The GM also wanted a different way of looking at it. Thankfully, I don't have a lot of hair to pull out 😉 Thanks, Todd
  2. So, as an example using the image from the OP: [Power Name]: Blast 1d6, Area of Effect (Radius 17-32m; +1, Explosion; -½) (5 Active Points); Focus (Inobvious, Inaccessible (IIF); -¼, Arrangement; -¼, Fragile; -¼, Difficult to obtain new Focus; -¼). Total Cost: 4 points. I have not built in Adders at this point. I did find the Writer's Guidelines Version 1.1 April 2003 online, but it really didn't give suggestions for formatting of powers. Not all the power examples utilize more than one of a type (like Focus). I'm just trying to make it so that any combination could be used, whether or not it is legal around the table. Again, any help is appreciated! Thanks! Todd
  3. Hello, I'm in the early process of attempting to make a Power Creation tool for a friend. We'll see how it goes.... My question is, when creating a Power Stat Block, how much would be needed for display? I attached an image of where I'm at with the tool. Still need to do Adders as well. If anyone can point me to a document or reference, I would appreciate the help! Thanks Todd
  4. Re: Looking for a picture/drawing That's a pretty specific request, and I don't know that flintlocks and a dress will come together easily. That being said, this is as close as I know. You would need to touch it up with a flintlock, but I think it would work.
  5. Re: Help with a character concept Thanks for the input everyone! If anyone else has any thoughts, I'd also like to hear them!
  6. Re: Crossover events (has anyone else actually done this) Currently doing that. I'm playing in a group with two GMs. They're doing a X-Men type game and one uses Detroit, the other Vibora Bay. The other second GM plays and then swaps out with the first GM so they can play.
  7. I'm playing in a game that takes our real life selves (thankfully 15 years ago ) and converting them to mutants. My character concept is a brick/gadgeteer combo called "The Scoutmaster". One of the issues that I'm running into is how to have my weapon and armor easily accessible. I'm using a "Merit Badge" theme for activating things. For example, I use the "First Aid Merit Badge" to deliver healing nanites to the harmed character. Basically, it's a 1.5 in patch that will transform to the actual Power. Here are the two that I want to convert to this concept. I'm guessing it would be some kind of Transform power and some kind of Extra Time. Any thoughts would be helpful! Thanks!
  8. Re: Double The Hero Excitement! Both valid points, but I think that Green Ronin has learned their lesson with the OGL. With the Freeport Campaign, they're producing a statless book that allows any system to use the campaign setting. Addtional books are set up to flesh out the setting in the campaign of choice (kind of like the Traveller Hero books). I think that GR could do the same thing for their Supers setting. Hero can put out stats for GR's characters, and GR can do the same for Hero. Although, I think GR would come out the "winner" because they don't have as many settings/genres as Hero. I'm also a fan of Web Enhancements. Put out a book and give the Dual Stats out online. Your book contains the rule system of choice (DoJ puts out Hero, GR puts out M&M) and the other stats and conversions are online. Saves on page count going to the conversions and leaves more room for the adventure. Just my thoughts.
  9. Re: Double The Hero Excitement! GoO has nothing to do with M&M. Just expanding the speculation. However, Green Ronin (M&M) is still in business and I've heard podcasts that DoJ and GR are "good friends" when talking about competition between the companies.
  10. Re: Double The Hero Excitement! Are they still around? Maybe a partner with Mutants & Masterminds?
  11. Re: Double The Hero Excitement! Like a Hero and Silver Age Sentinals thing? M&M and H!
  12. Re: Double The Hero Excitement! Star Trek Hero by Task Force Games
  13. Re: Double The Hero Excitement! Doesn't really matter anyway. The series is done. Nothing more to get people hopped up on. You could say the same about Firefly, but it was "killed" in it's prime instead of having an ending like Potter.
  14. Re: Double The Hero Excitement! I'm still trying to wrap my brain around Linux! Here. But not the 6e thing. Just that 4e D&D sounds a lot like Hero. That's the conspiracy! One to inform of the conspiracy, one to disprove it
  15. Re: Double The Hero Excitement! Harry Potter Hero? Just think of the influx of gamers. PS238, Sidekick, Character Creation Handbook... Hopefully not 6 edition. Sed? Come one, that sucks compared to FRED! I like the "OGL D&D" idea. Would fit well with a FH reprint. Conspiracy Hero (Trust No One)? There is no H...
