So, I was taking a trip down memory lane this weekend. I was flipping thru all my old SAVAGE SWORD OF CONAN issues, watching FIRE AND ICE, watching a Frank Frazzetta DVD, andreading though 3 Robert E. Howard books. All this started me thinking, has there been a legitemate Howard-esque sword and socery treament of the hero system? I am a huge fan of Howard's work and I believe he is the greatest influence that the SNS genre has ever had. I saw the character post of Red Sonya by Susano, props for keeping it real! So, if there are any posts or links out there for this, I would appreciate them greatly! Huzzah

Soooo, weare getting ready to start a championsgame(finally!). the G.M., is a very creative type. theG.M. is calling it the "touched" universe. it takes place in an earth with no supers at all, none! the year is 2118. technology and enlightenment reign. the average person has some degree of cybernetic or bioengineering enhancement. war and conflict are all but unheard of. an updated version of the hubble telescope has taken pictures of a mysterious energy field in deep space. that field is present in every direction the telescope looks. so an expedition is beng prepared, armed with a space fold technology a ship and a scientific crew will besent to the field to collect readings. unknown to the players, he anomoly is actuallythe big bang, still expanding, still creating. thepremiseof the game is this. what happens when the created make contact with the source of creation. you guessed it, superbeings are born. this game will focus on morality,ethics, and thequestion; does someone who is more than human qualify for civil rights.... of coursethere will be super battles as well;)

Well work actually, I've had to paint A whole high school, and pour about 48 cu. yards of concrete....crap! well, I'm still working on my fantasy world and drawing a picture for my contest winner plus a few other commissions,whew! So, hopefully I will be posting my world and dwarves soon.

Re: Knights of the Griffin I am totally with labrat on this one. A variation is to give the player the full knight package, but he has to locate an egg of a regional griffin as part of his final test as a night of the griffin.(this is great in the fact that there is your first adventure arc ready for the playing!).

Now for the dish... so im to assume that if my rp's come out @ 0pts. im doing good? groovy! my world map is commin along and the dwarf illo is also in the works. im also working on alot of illos for my various campaigns(fantasy, sci-fi, post-apoc, historic, a shirow-hero game, and one based on a x-file theme.) i'm not crazy just inspired.....honest:rolleyes: Gosh with all this art i'm working on, i just might have to start an art thread. keeping up on the boards is gettin tough I just got prey, chrome hounds, graw on the 360.plus my drawing, world building. a two yo. a 6mo. old and a ft job. plus......sleep?

Re: creating a new world using a new system well I started on my roman dwarf idea last night.... crap. well that will teach me to have a few beers before i sit down in front of a book that big again! the package went well until I added everything up and d@mmit with abilities and disadvantages the package came out to 0 points wich is great for myplayers but not great for my sense of more-than-human/more-points thinking I really like the ground work for the race and career pkgs. in fantasyhero. only minor changes like surface dwarves get no nightvision and the like. I may just cool it on the races and focus on the world again. So map coming soon! EST SULARIS OTH MITHAS(free drawing for the first to tell me what this phrase means and where it's from)

hey, I'm sure we are all into hero for the same main reason(duh! it rocks). but i was wondering, what else do you want out of it? Me personally, I know exactly what i want. I have always wanted a system that let me get all retarded with what I do, create. But I also intend to join the legion(when i can run a game without fondling the book every 5 seconds. I am also an artist that WILL be published and hopefully hero will be my first(calling Storn Cook a colleague would be cool.) Also long(really long)term I would jump at the chance to work At hero. Anywhooo, just somthing that crossed my mind to get to know yall better!
