  1. Re: Voting results for the first Semi-Annual Champions Modding Contest Good contest, thanks in particular to Proditor for hosting with his schedule as it is. When do we do this again? Congrats Bill, well deserved
  2. Re: Champions miniatures Sweet Mags, I do believe that's the best mini I've seen you do. The water on the base is beautiful just in of it's self. Here is a link to a site Doug Shuler and his gamer mates keep. It has a full set of figures from "the Zodiac Conspiracy", which Doug S wrote and illustrated, that are worth checking out.
  3. Re: Champions miniatures I miss three days and it's like I've been gone all summer. What a truckload of stuff, Bill a gorgeous piece, that face... it is a show piece. Blue, Perdition rocks, don't analyse that statement too much. Mags, man you have loads of figures, the earlier ones aren't showing up on my browser, are you pulling them a day or two after you post? Great work I love seeing them. Tim and Bluejacket, there are some great figs there, got more?
  4. Re: Champions miniatures Good work Blue and nice website. Any plans on doing her in the animated style costume?
  5. Re: Champions miniatures Nery nice as usual Magmarock. Are you going to be pulling up the previously posted figs to make memory room or are you planning on pulling from the art thread?
  6. Re: Champions miniatures As you see fit.
  7. Re: Champions miniatures Definetly like. Did you coat the mini in sand for the texture?
  8. Re: Champions miniatures keep 'em coming Mags.
  9. Re: The First (Hopefully) Semi-Annual Great Champions Challenge Modding Contest! Beautiful work Myrlyn, particularly like the toys about him.
  10. Re: Champions miniatures That takes me back Recognized the Ankylosaur and Laser but Foxbaat and Grond are new to me. Did a company other than Grenadier make Champs minis?
  11. Re: The First (Hopefully) Semi-Annual Great Champions Challenge Modding Contest! Blue, how do you keep pumping them out? If you don't mind, may I ask what fig or figs Holocaust is made from? Magmarock, the same for Occulon, is that a Superfig?
  12. Re: The First (Hopefully) Semi-Annual Great Champions Challenge Modding Contest! Not bad at all Blue. I was thinking of turning Hawk from the first DC set into him. I dropped my Destroyer figure a while back but I was thinking of Fates helm, or possibly a Kobra fanatic head with the facial features sanded down on the upper torso and arms of Kobra on a sidewinder lower torso and legs.
  13. Re: The First (Hopefully) Semi-Annual Great Champions Challenge Modding Contest! The voting deadline is this Sunday, the 14th, by noon? Are we just PMing them to you Prod?
  14. Re: Champions Clix Mods Bill's article is indeed a great primer, covering basics to mid advanced techniques. Considering it's free for the perusal, it is the best intro article I've seen in the last ten years, easy.
  15. Re: Champions Clix Mods Another superlative piece.
  16. Re: Project Genesis website It is definetly that, the netbook alone is expansive. Considering your bredth of exposure to super rpgs, how are you finding M&M?
  17. Re: The First (Hopefully) Semi-Annual Great Champions Challenge Modding Contest! You sell yourself short. Looking at your mods it's clear that you have a good eye.
  18. Re: Champions Clix Mods Beautiful as always.
  19. Re: Champions Clix Mods There's a full description in the 1st annual champs mod contest,http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22305&page=2, basically it's a Marvel, Constrictor body, DC Manbat wings and a Marvel Skrull head.
  20. Re: Champions Clix Mods That Black Diamond is it Bill, to damn cool. I didn't put the recipes for the Champions as they were kind of quick and dirty mods, repaints really, and I didn't want to over aggrandize. 1.)Marksman, simple repaint of a Marvelclix, Infinity Challenge Shield agent http://www.wizkidsgames.com/heroclix/marvel/figuregallery.asp?unitid=1958 Looks better than it has any right to. 2.) Icestar, A repainted Marvelclix, Xplosian Daredevil with the DD sanded off and some putty hair. http://www.wizkidsgames.com/heroclix/marvel/figuregallery.asp?unitid=3296This was going to be my Contest entry after I glued it to an Iceman iceslide but it seemed to be more of a repaint than a mod. 3.) Rose, a Marvelclix, explosion, Shadowcat as you can see http://www.wizkidsgames.com/heroclix/marvel/figuregallery.asp?unitid=3270 4.) Giant, is a DC Clix Hawkman from Hypertime, sans wings and with a Marvelclix, Infinity Challenge Shield agent head, see Marksman. http://www.wizkidsgames.com/heroclix/dc/figuregallery.asp?unitid=2476 5.) Flare is a DC clix, Cosmic Justice Cheetah body, http://www.wizkidsgames.com/heroclix/dc/figuregallery.asp?unitid=3382 with a DC Hypertime Clayface cloak http://www.wizkidsgames.com/heroclix/dc/figuregallery.asp?unitid=2316 and a DC, Unleashed Science police officer head http://www.wizkidsgames.com/heroclix/dc/figuregallery.asp?unitid=4885 PS I see the Gallery for the new Mutant Mayhem figs is open on Wizkids site. There is some good stuff there.
  21. Re: The First (Hopefully) Semi-Annual Great Champions Challenge Modding Contest! I've been stuck on what figure would make a good Ogre for awhile. I'd say this was a pretty good choice. Filling in grooves is annoying indeed, when I did this to the crags on the Thing clix I painted it with several layers of gloss medium. It takes a while but it worked well in the end. Nice to have you on board Blue.
  22. Re: The First (Hopefully) Semi-Annual Great Champions Challenge Modding Contest! I'd like to see it and while DH doesn't seem to be lacking for material what magazine doesn't like to have articles on hand, maybe for the busy Con season? As to the list of "What I'd like to see," I wasn't thinking of a DH article specifically but about a webpage or something. That would mean restating a number of your article's points so as to put them all in one place. For a Digital hero article, a link or mention would work just fine. What are you thinking about for your article, a general piece or a walk through of a specific mod? As a side note, the original article/s are really well done and thorough, the paint advice has been a great help.
  23. Re: Champions Clix Mods Not yet, I'll probably just paint a action figure. I apologize for the lousy photos by the way.
  24. I've entered a heroclix mod of one of the original Champions team in Proditor's contest. I thought I'd post the rest of the team here as: 1.) it wouldn't be right to post it in the contest 2.) where else am I gonna post it?
  25. Re: The First (Hopefully) Semi-Annual Great Champions Challenge Modding Contest! If we were to do an article I'd like to see the following: A link to said previous Digital Hero article as it covers so many basics well. A brief guide to Heroclix, Superfigs and other sources as doner figures mention of how to strip paint off of a fig mention of basic modifying tools such as needle files, toenail clippers and how to use them then a walk through of a simple conversion
