Re: Asian Bestiary- Opinions?
I posted a review a while back. Short version: Very good books' date=' very useful, art from mediocre to bad.[/quote']Link?
-
I'm thinking about getting both books and have been looking for reviews/ opinions. Usable with PulpHero? Also, I'm big on asian RPGs in general (Sengoku, anyone?).

I love summer...almost as much as spring.

Re: Just Picked Up Champions Worldwide
Character books are fine. I can always change them up so I can fit them in the game. Good book for general Ideas. BIG Gripe- the art. For a moment, I thought my eyes were bleeding. Worst art in a Hero book ever? Very close. Sad to see the quality nosediving....

Re: I need a name for a society of adventurers
Every time I see the name of this thread, I think of the Society of Health Insurance Trustees.....

Re: Pulp Hero, after looking it over
I liked Adventure! (played a couple times). I thought it was goofy of WW to trot out Abberant and Adventure! revised with d20 stats, though. Now, please excuse me as I must lurk the online store 'till the Hardcover PulpHero is listed....

Re: Pulp Hero, after looking it over
Hey, gives me a chance to buy a hardcover in the online store, too bad for those who went to the con, though...

Re: pulp hero over opinions?
I have revised my opinion, The cover art for pulp hero is an embarasment, and cannot have an anything but an adverse impact on sales.Just look at the text logo in comparision to the logo's other product lines alone, not to mention Justice Incorporated, and look how inferior it is. even on a dark background the distance visability of the logo is terrible. it takes just a few feet before it starts to disolve into something that looks like a rorshach puddle of p*ss because of the awful design.
EEK! Dude...it's not THAT bad....

Re: PULP HERO -- What Do *You* Want To See?
Serious question, though...Is the new Pulp Hero book more like The Champions Genre book or more like Fantasy Hero? Sorry I am asking this very late, but my computer has been down for a while.

Re: Spears Of The Tisangani (HPA01) Now In Online Store
SWEET! I am on it!

Re: pulp hero over opinions?
Logo loooks very cartoony, not really what I would try to convey if I were launching a product line. The cover art itself....better than most of the recent stuff I've seen but I long for the day when Hero had good art....

Re: PULP HERO -- What Do *You* Want To See?
I'd like to see...two bricks being smashed together....

But, I'm not going to Gencon :-). Who wants to buy it for me or will I have to wait (like I did for GOOs hardcover Authority) for it to show up on ebay after the con?

Re: FH Grimoire 2: Who has it?
If you are runing/ playing Fantasy Hero, it's worth getting, IMHO. RPG.net seems to take FOREVER to post reviews (I did two a couple weeks ago and nothing, so far).
-
Ok, I am trying to figure out if I should buy this book, honestly. I have not seen it. One- I am leary of the Genre books in general, having found only one (Fantasy Hero) to have been of use, so far. Champions Genre book- biggest waste of money I've spent on a Hero book. Star Hero- Eh, not interested. But the FH Genre book was VERY good, IMHO
So, is DC like FH? I am interested in the modern setting and loved Danger Int when it was out. I do have some knowledge of spies, investigations, low level supers, etc. So if all it does is cover the genre (like Champions) then I have ZERO interest. On the other hand, if it does MORE like Fantasy Hero, then I think I would like it. HELP?

I just started reading the Authority (bought the first two TPBs) and have found it very well written and am enjoying it. I can't wait for GOO's RPG book to come out!
