Re: I just can't get into Cosmic Level play
Hey! Pre-Crisis Lois knew Kryptonian Kung Fu (or judo...one of those martial arts thingies that were sprouting up in the comics in the 70s). And she turned herself black once! AndOK, I got nuthin'.
You crack me up!
Sometimes, it's good to have nothin'

Re: I just can't get into Cosmic Level play
That's not the point. ANYONE can justify being on cosmic point totals/ game. Why can Jimmy Olsen be in a Cosmic game. He's a DNPC and worth points to super (cosmic level- mosy definately). Hey, look at Ric Jones BEFORE he became Capt. Marvel. Hanging with the Avengers (Thor, Hulk, Iron Man- dealing with Ultron, Skrull, etc)
It's a matter of- what is THEIR purpose in the GAME, not their point totals. I'd be more than willing to run a Daredevil type in a cosmic game with a good GM. Why? A good GM will have something for every player.
People like Jimmy Olsen, the Fantastic Four's mailman, Avenger's butler, the guy/girl in pannel 4 pge 3 of Flash #23...should be the same point total reguardless of if it is cosmic or just plain Champs, IMHO. It's up to the GM to make it work, as it should.

Re: I just can't get into Cosmic Level play
Back in the mid 80s (gads!), the game I ran then was made up of 450pt. characters. Even at that level, I thought of them as just barely Justice League material. Mechanon and Destroyer SHOULD be able to take them on single handed and the SHOULD be over 1000 pts. I LOVE that the game has finally caught up with us :-).
I think it all goes back to the 250 starting point total issue/ non issue.

Re: The Mystic World
I gotta say...I read the book and really, it's just fiction. Not meant to offend anyone. I am a Buddhist and pretty much feel whatever you believe...great, I'm glad it works for you. I've seen instances of sourcebooks/ games using bits and pieces of buddhism and it has never entered my mind as being offensive. Interesting on the take, but never offensive.

Re: Hero Needs Reviewers!!
Well, I've recently done two reviews for RPG.net (Fantasy Hero Battlegrounds and Mystic World...hopefully up next week). I'll be doing some reviews on my own site of various Supers books as well.

Re: The Mystic World
When did you submit it ? Its absence on the site is so far blatantBesides, does anyone know how high-level mystical master villians (Tyrannon the Conqueror, Skarn the Shaper, the Kings of Edom, Dr. Yin...) are going to be apportioned among Mystic World, Arcane Adversaries, and DEMON ? I really long to lengthen the roost of fully-detailed CU personally-uberpowerful MV, besides the Fab Four (Dr. Destroyer, Mechanon, Menton, Takofanes) and their GC couterparts (Arcane, Sovreign, Examiner, Supernova).
Hopefully, it will be on RPG.net this Monday.

Look for my review on RPG.net!

Re: The Mystic World
Well, I've just about stopped buying from my LGS as I can get what I want faster and cheaper online. I do buy the occasional magazine or accessory there. I also demo many games there as well. Finished Mystic World, btw. Worth the wait and I'd as B+!

Re: What happened to seeker??
His fate need to written up in Digital Hero and, of course, with him on the cover getting beat up.

Just got it today and have had some time to skim it. Nice job with the lay out and some good writing so far. I am a bit....underwhelmed by the art (over all). Glad I bought it, though! B+

How 'bout Teen super monkeys? With a human sidekick?
-
Hummm...immagine. H.R Puffnstuff as the group's supporter fighting Witchy Poo and her minions...yeah, I can dig it...:-)
-
Well, I'm pretty happy 'bout it. Hopefully that will move up Pulp Hero and allow for more Champions and Fantasy Hero books to come out.

I have nothing against buying cheap models. I'm all for that. I just don't like having a great war game turned into clicky tech. Some stuff just shouldn't be made simpler.
Can you imagine playing Star Fleet Battles or B5 Wars as clicky tech?! It just wouldn't be the same.
"Yes! my 40mm cannons hit the cockpit! yeah!"
"Uh no, you just do 2 clicks of damage."
Yeah, it might be better or something... or even faster...

Well, I wouldn't look for any books already out to ever be done in color. I'd love to see future books go color.

Dude, It's the Flash....

Ya know, I was going to just laugh and blow this off, but then I started thinking....this would be a good Digital Hero article or even a e-book....

The rules call for open voting, so.....

As far as the Seeker thing goes, I took at as a kind of "tip of the hat" to what have gone before. Only the oldtimers are going to "get it" anyway, so what harm is thier, really?

Just got my vote in!

ARRRRGH! Don't EVEN bring up Comic Book World!!!! I HATE thier policy of shrinkwrapping every darn thing that they can! Drives me nuts! I refuse to buy games there! I usually get my games over the net. I do support a local store just 'cause they're nice guys and I play Hero Clix there (Acme Games, Cincy, Ohio- They'll give you 20% off with a pre order).

SWEET! I'll be bugging my FLGS for it, now....

I like that animation style a lot myself too. I've been watching Justice League a lot lately. I like their takes on all the characters but especially Supes and Flash.
Nice use of that template. Looks nice and polished.
Here's a crazy character I sketched out last week and want to develope more once I have time. It's...
OCTO! KING OF THE OCTOPI!!!
