  1. As a GM in a four color Bronze Age modern day game, would you charge your characters for minor non-combat items such as: pen lights (small flashlights:change environment 1"area only to offset darkness penalties) pens & paper (Eidetic Memory, takes extra time, takes literacy and ability to write) small knick-knack non-combat items that, while useful, don't seem worth charging for? Is there any circumstance under which you would charge for non-combat items that a character could concievably buy at a corner drugstore? Had a GM that was wanting too. Pointed out I could make a character called knickknack whose sole-super power would be knick knacks. Now he doesn't charge for them. Wanted to get others input. Also a challenge... what powers could conceivably be used to make little knick-knack powers like thge one above? Do your best....or worst. *smile*
  2. Re: Namedropping From Wikipedia: Francis Marion (circa 1732 - February 26 or February 27, 1795) was a lieutenant colonel in the Continental Army and later Brigadier General in the South Carolina Militia during the American Revolutionary War. He became known as the "Swamp Fox" for his ability to use decoy and ambush tactics to disrupt enemy communications, capture supplies, and free prisoners. Marion's family was of Huguenot ancestry. They settled at Winyah, near Georgetown, South Carolina where Marion was born. He spoke fluently in French as well as English. In 1759 he moved to Pond Bluff plantation near Eutaw Springs, in St. John's Parish, Berkeley County, South Carolina. In 1761 he served as a lieutenant under William Moultrie in a campaign against the Cherokees. Marion is considered one of the fathers of modern guerilla warfare, and is credited in the lineage of the United States Army Rangers. For those of you who saw it, the movie Patriot was loosely based on the Swamp Fox's exploits. For more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swamp_Fox And his archnemisis... Sir Banastre Tarleton, 1st Baronet (August 21, 1754–January 25, 1833) was a British soldier and politician. His alleged ruthlessness earned him the nickname "Bloody Ban" and "Butcher". For more information, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banastre_Tarleton Information here is very reminiscent of The Black Mask info in the Champions Universe book.
  3. What would your game master do, if.... Your character approached an NPC talent agent about doing nude pics (Yes, your character has to be a human or else the publication might be Popular Mechanics or Astronomy magazine and it would loose the flavor of the question)? What would your GM do if you came up with a solution using your powers or buying a new power that solved a major world problem that would change the environment of the game (i.e. "I just solved world hunger by using 5 pts. Do I get the Nobel?") What would your GM do if you choose to have your character decide to go "Rogue" and begin a life of crime? What would your GM do if your character (one without Code VS. Killing) decided that a villain was just too dangerous to live with that much power and prison obviously couldn't contain him? What if your description was good enough to make it look like self-defense? What if it was a private killing, no witnesses? Thought I would give a little twist to the standard WWYCD. Enjoy.
  4. Re: from little plot seeds, mighty games do grow: Share you ideas! Well, I haven't read a;; the entries but one of the early ones I saw gave me an idea. Not only is Foxbat trying to reform, but.... He's decided the best way to reform is on camera for a new reality TV series which keeps accidentally involving the heroes. Even though they blur the faces on the heroes to get out from having to get their permission, it obvious who they are because their costumes aren't blurred or even though they are blurred, just how many 7 foot granite demonas hang out in Sheboygan, NJ anyway? Unt hilarity ensues. You VILL laugh for hours unt hours.... you VILL!
  5. Does an errata exist for the "Champions Universe" book most recently published?
