Re: Adult Entertainment
Next up on WWYCD:Your character is approached by [super adult magazine] to pose nearly naked in an upcoming issue with the payment going to the character's favorite charity. Cape, mask, gloves, boots can stay on. Everything on the torso stays off. Does your character accept?
I can't think of a single modern day character, male or female, I've actually played that would go for that. Of course some of them are pug ugly, but it takes all kinds.

Re: I have a dream. (and MAN was it wierd!)
Night mare. Chased by dinosaurs. Dinosaurs on fire. I rememember thinking, "I'm too --ing old to be having nightmares about being chased by flaming dinosaurs."
I guess we don't get to choose our nightmares.

Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...
Well' date=' he's got a policeman's hat, a traffic cone, and some confused memories of a night out on a pleasure planet, does that count?[/quote']So if he wears the traffic cone he could be the reincarnation of the Duke of Wellington

Re: Query's Art & Stuff Thread
I haven't had any time to do any finished pieces recently, but my pencil never really stops moving, and I think sketchwork can be just an interesting as fully rendered pictures. So here are a whole pack of thumbnail sketches I have done in spare moments over the last few weeks.

Re: After-action report: Light-saber >> tasers, for real!
And of course' date=' although I wasn't there, and didn't see it... I still have to wonder if those cops weren't doing something seriously wrong. [/quote']Clearly they made the mistake of fighting a Jedi.

Re: The future is here, again.
Good idea. I like it. Now how much does it cost, how long does it last, and how difficult it is to maintain?
I would ike to install a bunch of it at my workplace; I could tell the inmates, "Every step you take helps power the electric fence."

Re: Make Your Own Motivational Poster
Reminds me of this old joke...A linguistics professor was lecturing to his class one day. "In English," he said, "A double negative forms a positive. In some languages, though, such as Russian, a double negative is still a negative. However, there is no language wherein a double positive can form a negative."
A voice from the back of the room piped up, "Yeah, right."
Heh. That reminds me of a quote I put up on my board for a writing class. "Sarcasm is not a grammatical construct."

The problem is she's fictional in her own world. Nothing is Maiden America any more.

Re: Science: Particles seen moving at FTL speeds (CERN)
I have rarely met or heard from any scientist who makes stuff up just to make the universe fit the model. Generally what they do is find out where the math deviates from the observation and postulate a cause. That's how we found neutrinos. Our understanding of them started off with a discrepancy in accounting, which led to the postulation of a neutrino particle, which led to experiments, which finally located them.

Re: What are YOUR character trademark(s)?
Paging Harry Dresden....I showed up at my folks house once with my duster, hat, And walking staff, and my mother said, "I thought Harry Dresden was coming up the driveway."

Re: What are YOUR character trademark(s)?
I tend to play a character on the path of redemption. Someone who has either intentionally or unintentionally caused serious harm in the past and who is in his or her own way, marginally crazier than any opponent. They also tend to be highly intelligent folks who fight way above their weight class.

Re: Need a name for batlike hero
I was going to say Chiroptera, but somebody beat me to it .

Re: Teen Titans cartoon conversion?
Ask Teh Bunneh; he uses them in convention games.

Re: If Foxbat is like an evil Batman...
Foxbat isn't really evil, just insane.
But of course any hero can have a looney twin. Think Bizarro.

Re: More space news!
or it could be bought by an eccentric billionaire and sent to a lagrange point so he can retire there ( )I'm not sure a billion dollars would provide him with the energy delivery system he'd need to chuck that thing into a lagrange orbit, or even a geosynchronous one.
