Re: Am I doing it right?
Clarification and such on a few points it looks like you're not clear on.
DoT applies the power once at the end of each increment; the healing isn't divided among the increments.
No Conscious Control: Effects doesn't apply; you still consciously apply and remove the bandage.
Not sure how you're costing Requires A Roll.
As stated, Usable On Others isn't needed.
Is Very Difficult what you want? It seems a rather minor power (unless your game is low magic) to be the subject of an entire adventure.
Otherwise, it's clear and concise and probably better than the first power I posted on here.

Plus, it it exceedingly unrealistic to think we now know most of what we'll ever know.

Re: Around the World in 584 Days
They have logbooks and google earth data on their website which illustrates the route they took. Apparently the boat was built for endurance rather than speed and I think they did make quite a few stops.Just saying, it's not the best speed advertisement for their boat.

Re: A brain the size of the universe...
It's really sweet that you believe that.Uh, sure, you can think that if you want, but if your AI doesn't carry love and affection for you (or something which does the same sort of jobs), why should they keep you around?

I'm more interested in the plot and characters than devices and blinking lights.

...A year and two thirds to go around the planet? I hope they stopped at every port along the way, because that is slow...

Re: A brain the size of the universe...
The only way to safely make someone smarter than you are, is to raise children.

Re: Interview with Prometheus writer Jon Spaihts on io9
Absolute agreement. I love science in my SF stories. Stores where science is just used to justify flashing lights and explosions sucks....Right; Star Trek and Star Wars are horrible franchises and should never have been started.[/deadpan]

Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread
In spite of the cold that kept me home today, I got news from Social Security that my SSI (Supplemental Security Income) payment is being cut off.Why is this good news? Because it means I am closer to supporting myself by working as opposed to collecting pensions. And Social Security won't be completely going away -- I will still be receiving Social Security Disability (SSD) until I cross another, higher earning plateau. So I'm actually pleased to be getting $162 less per month from the government because it reflects that I am earning more from work.
It also means my rent, which is based on my income, will go down somewhere in the neighborhood of $50.
Congratulations.
