Re: Paladin Martial Art?
Nusoardgraphite has a good point. I overlooked when then OP described exactly what his Paladin was for. Speaking of undead, I know that skeletons usually take extra damage from blunt attacks. If the OP also declares that this works for other types of undead, then this could be the reason that paladins prefer maces to swords.(Off the top of my head, I don't know a special effect reason why a mace should be more effective than a sword on say a zombie.)
Probably because bashing a zombies' brains in redeads it; stabbing it in the heart just gives it a handy lever you're holding on to.
Edit: 12 rPD/12 rED, 18 PD/18 ED, not versus damage to the head, holy SFX or life SFX makes even a "puny zombie" a horrific threat to many.

Re: The cranky thread
...Ok, I'm going to say it:
The first and only replies to a help thread I posted (elsewhere) either didn't read the entire post, or don't actually address the question.
Although the last one comes closest.

Re: The cranky thread
Jennifer's brother-in-law lost his struggle with cancer yesterday at 4:00. She's gone home to South Carolina to comfort her family. Please keep them in your thoughts. You have my sympathies.
Makes my current grouch seem small.

I'm pretty sure Oxymoron is a character in the Incredibles universe. Are they inedible?

His explanation suffices for me. Any calls of "munchkin" afterwards should be directed towards the Champions forum.

Here's the bookcase I want.** Ok, one of the bookcases I want.
I see blank space.
So apparently you didn't find Syndrome's plan/motivation to be all that well thought out?Haven't seen Incredibles. Not much of a movie watcher.

Re: "Neat" Pictures
"And when everyone's super ... no one will be."Just because the level of quality has increased, doesn't mean the level of quality has decreased - That's an oxymoron.

Re: "Neat" Pictures
Those "superpowers" didn't seem to help Red Leader' date=' Gold Leader, Biggs, Darth's Leftside Wingman, innumerable nameless rebel & imperial members. And those Jawas that were on the receiving end of the "only imperial troops are that accurate" fire.[/quote']That's cause everyone has superpowers, so it evens out.

Re: "Neat" Pictures
Bah! They only made three movies and no supplemental material whatsoever.
(It'd probably mostly suck, anyway)
-
Re: "Neat" Pictures
How do you define "power armor"?I have a theory:
1) Everyone's shooting plasma at each other.
2) That plasma moves slowly.
3) Plasma would move very, very, very fast.
4) The Star Wars tech tree is tens of thousands of years old.
5) ????
6) Quantum Bots.
7) ????
8) Everybody has effective superpowers.

Re: "Neat" Pictures
Well' date=' the Oompa Loompas were specifically taken in by Willy Wonka because they were too weak to make it on their own, IIRC. The Munchkins were mostly too terrorized by the witch to be worth much in a fight...the Lollipop Guild would go down swinging, but I think there's just too much PTSD in Munchkinland...the Guild doesn't have the numbers to stand. This one goes to the Ewoks.[/quote']Ewoks are supersoldiers! How else do you explain mere arrows piercing power armour?

Re: Paladin Martial Art?
Been wondering what a martial art designed to take advantage of a typical D&D Paladins' powers might look like. Probably offense-focused, although not necessarily damage.

If the wicked witch sends out flying funnel spiders I'm leaving....She can't possibly be from Oz if a flying house managed to kill her.

Re: Fantasy HERO encounters & balancing them
Any game where there can't be a TPK isn't really a game.
One of the essential components of a game is the chance of loosing.
