  1. Background: The Corps is a group of former soldier that were exposed to an experimental formula that was supposed to make them superhuman (kind of like the Super-Soldier program that made Captain America). The formula, however, was flawed and in addition to giving them superpowers it also warped their sense of right and wrong. Now they travel the world preforming all manner of criminal acts.

Group Relations: The Corps remains much the same as they did before they gained their powers. They are fiercely loyal to each other and have survived numerous firefights together. Their military discipline allows them to work efficently without communication and they have developed many different special tactics to deal with certain situations.

Tactics: The Corps has developed many tricks since gaining their powers. Two of them being the Flash-Bang, in which Fast Track and Airborne hold their actions until both can go at roughly the same time then use their Flash attacks to both deafen and blind opponents, and the Tag-Team Smash, which involves Leech absorbing some of Stronghold's strength and then the two grab two heavy objects and slam them into their opponent from opposing sides.

Campaign Use: The Corps can serve in the place of any number of Champions supervillian teams, especially the Ultimates, since both teams have a similar background. They can also serve in the place of a rival superhero team for your PC, since they are tightly focused on getting the job done.

Hooks: The scientist responsible for the project that gave the Corps their powers has created an antidote that will reverse their powers but it might also kill them.

The general in charge of the project that created the Corps altered the formula on purpose so that the military would cut the funding and he could sell the formula to the highest bidder. The PC's have discovered this but can they stop him before it's to late? And what about the Corps who are actually the victims?

  2. Re: How many Dragon's teeth adorn YOUR shield?

The last time my group fought a dragon, well lets just say that I am thankful that our GM was extremely realistic about it. We fought two almost back to back. The first one that we fought was a Black Dragon, we only just beat it because our Paladin (me) was a Dragon-born (D&D Races of the Dragon) and knew a little something about dragons. I was on horseback with my lance and while the Rogue distracted it, I charged and impaled the organ that gives it the acid breath (:D no more sizzling green death). The second one was a Green and we beat it because our Barbarian climbed on top of it's lair and when it came out he leapt off and drove a stone-shaped man-sized boulder into it's back and made it impossible for the thing to fly.

  3. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

In this game our party had just entered a city that was completely surrounded by water, we ended up trying to capture a murderer and this is what happened as we cornered him in his home.

Lukaas (our vampire hunting ranger): (Kicks in the door.) Don't move, the watch has ordered us to capture you for trial.

Murderer: (Classic Vampire Hiss, then jumps out a window.)

Lukaas: We have to search the city he can't cross running water.

Alak (our Drow wizard): Then how did he get in?

    Lukaas:...Woah, flaw in my logic.

  4. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

Keehan (our Spellthief): RUN!!! The pullrope of DOOOM.

    Remaraiz (our Cleric)What???

Keehan: In the next room, the pullrope of doom. Everything has a doom version and we just found the pullrope of doom.

Ramaraiz: (Rolls his eyes) Here take this "magic" dagger to protect you while I go see about this.

Ramaraiz enters the room, pulls the rope and is suddenly strangled as the rope comes to life and starts choking him. Reaching for his dagger he suddenly remembers the Keehan has it. Another party member had to try and cut him down with a Rapier.

  5. Re: Who is your favorite character?

The Ruby Mage: A performing stage magician that recently inherited a mystic ruby, that contains all the knowledge of his family line going back centuries. Because of this he has an understanding of magic that should have taken him decades to learn and when needed can summon the willpower of his entire line, thus making him almost completely immune to mind-affecting powers.

  6. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

Quade (Our Rogue): I want to appraise it, see how much money I could get out of it.

    DM: You sure about that?

    Quade: Yeah.

DM: You start appraising and Haldor smacks you in the back of the head.

    Quade: What was that for?

Haldor (Our Paladin): For guessing the price of a Unicorn's Horn while it is still attached.

  7. I had an idea for a character that inherited the powers of those that he defeated, kind of like Blade did during that one story line in the Midnight Sons series. I thought about just taking a VPP and just adding a "must defeat/kill to gain". My only problems is how to make it permanent so that he never losses the inherited powers and how much the limitation should cost if I go that route. Thx in advance to anyone who answers.
