It's been a long time for me' date=' so forgive my ignorance...isn't IK's invisibility persistent?[/quote']

In the new era, it has not been defined as such yet. It is definity no-fringe and invisible to all parts of the EM spectum (Legion #1).

  3. Re: City of Heroes writeups

I imagine since at first level you are lahable' date=' a fair conversion would be every 2 levels equal +1 CV, +1D6 DC & +1 DEF, then you throw in all the enhancements making powers more powerful, & Pwers adding % bonuses, after a while they get up there. Like blasters being allowed 400% dame, Scrappers being allowed 500% damage and Tankers being allowed 200% damage. Each Archtype has a MAX% of each base level of effect. They also get "Base Bonuses" like a scrapper with no enhancement will do more damge than a tankeer with no enhancements. In the end it works out in a pretty simple way that would be complicated for me to explain. One thing City of Heroes does not have is Balace and Scale, the classes are not even and a street thug minnion from some zones could ice a level 20 character easy.[/quote']

I'm thinking the starting base of 6d6, plus a 1/2d6 per level?

  4. Re: City of Heroes writeups

    Some interesting facts.

My 6th level Blaster can run 100 yards in 10 seconds.

I can get 5 attacks off in 12 seconds, so lets assume SPD 5. So a lowlevel character with base sprint (my bonuses so far are into leaping) has a movement of +14" of running. Running in CoH has no difference in Combat or NCM.

It looks like hover is 1 or 2" of flight. :) 45 seconds to go 100 yards.

Swimming is the same speed as running, that is right, all characters start with 20" of swimming :nonp: .

Adan ,Miguel, and Pablo Arroyo jumped at the chance to join a local street gang after their mother kicked them out on to the street when they turn eighteen.

For their gang initiation, they had to kill a local councilwoman, who was gaining popularity on her anti-gang stance. They caught the councilwoman leaving her office, but as they were about to shoot, the police arrived. The triplets ran for it, knowing that someone had turned then into the police.

They ran into an alley with a dead end, trapped with the police only a few seconds away. “Come here boysâ€, a sweet yet sinister told them. In a door way that was not their seconds ago stood a man in a fine blood red suit. Knowing they had no other choice, the triplets ran in the doorway.

The man in the blood red suit told them how sorry he was that their friends had betrayed them, and how they did not appreciate the possible power of a man born three. He told them in a seductive voice he could give them a body of great power for the small price of their undying loyalty and their souls.

The one catch that Adan,Miguel, and Pablo discovered too late was, when their new master said one body, he meant one body.

  7. Re: The Legion Thread

In Mike's writeup: is his martial arts legal? Aren't you supposed to buy a minimum of 10 points of maneuvers?

I only given what I have seen so far. I have been going back in forth if IK really shown any martial arts moves in issue #1.

  8. Re: The Legion Thread

Don't forget one of the classic purposes of the Legion Flight rings. It enabled the user to match the flight of another wearer. That is to say if Superboy was wearing his flight ring, Invisible Kid II could match his speed.

    Hawksmoor

I think that is gone, in fact it looks like you can no longer use superspeed with a flight ring. Notice Ultra Boy running (not flying) at superspeed on page 6.

  9. Re: The Legion Thread

Doesn't it give them life support as well?

    '

Unknown, in the last Legion series it did, but in the classical Legion period life support was provided by a "Transsuit".

We will have to waited and see.

  11. I have been wanting to do a write-up of the Legion of Superheroes for awhile, but decided to wait till the new series started. I will be posting character from the new series as sson as I feel have enough info to do the character properly.

  12. Re: Firefly HERO Website Up

Bravo, great web site. I have a couple of comments on the characters.

    - You may want to give KS: Reavers to Mal, Zoe, Wash and maybe Jayne.

    - River INT is way to high, a INT 23 with skills levels would work better.

  13. Re: What Fantasy/Sci-Fi book have you just finished? Please rate it...

The Flash: Stop Motion by Mark Schultz

    ISBN: 0743417135

    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0743417135/qid=1098827640/sr=2-3/ref=pd_ka_b_2_3/002-4472549-3415242

The third in the line of recent Justice League novels. I really the liked the first 3/4 of this book. Character development was well done, you really got to know Wally and the problems the "Fastest Man Alive" has to deal with.

The last part of the book was seemed rushed (pun), but was ok.

I would give it a 7 out of 10 total.
