Re: What Fantasy/Sci-Fi book have you just finished? Please rate it...
Started The Many colored Land by Julian May. If I like it' date=' I'll look for the rest of the series.[/quote']Personally, I loved these books when I first read them many, many years ago - the series gets better & better. Intervention (a sort of prequel) is good, but I'd avoid the other books actually set in the Milieu

Re: Cowboy Bebop/ Firefly inspired game
If you can get a copy you may find Guardians of Order's Centauri Knights - I like the description of the first system to be colonised & gives an excellent feeling of life on the frontier

Re: What Have You Watched Recently?
Actually there is no day ever from what the characters say in the movie. The doctor specifically states that the Strangers can't stand daylight and keep the city from ever facing the sun. The memory reprogramming makes everyone think there is a day and night when there never is which is brought out in the interview at the police station.Everyone is programmed to remember daylight as part of living on a real planet, but no one ever sees it.
CES
Hate to be even more pedantic here but there is no sun around which the City orbits - Sewell's character creates a sun at the end to give the first dawn:)

Re: Genre-crossover nightmares
What happens when Krypton's greatest criminal decides to give up his plans for planetary domination and become a hair stylist? Find out when Adam Sandler and Terrance Stamp star in Don't Mess With the Zod!Its just a bad ripoff of Sean Connery's classic Don't Mess with the Zardoz!

Re: The Distinctive, The Special, The Cool
Although I haven't yet had a chance to actually play or GM I LOVE this system for its flexibility, scale & scope. I can spend hours tinkering & designing characters & gadgets that will, unfortunately, never see the light of day.

Re: I need help with a Magic System
Could be wrong but it sounds similar to the Earthdawn system - or at least some of the terms used (Weaving, Patterns, etc)

Re: Looking For Input On Society Concept - Empire Of The Wolf
I would alsp take a look at some of the old Traveller products re the Vargr - I like the way their society is in constant flux with respect to leadership.

Re: What was your favorite beginning for an adventure?
For me it still has to be my very first game when our D&D characters were sitting in a bar when a brawl started - brilliant:thumbup:

Re: A bit of advice for fellow newcomers...
I would usually have an idea of the character before I start creation but I also find looking through the book (especially the Disadvantages, Skills & Perks) can inspire me twith new ideas.
To sum up? Sometimes its good to freewheel & create on the fly:)
