  1. Re: New idea. Ressources? Huh?:confused::confused:
  2. Re: How would you build this sci-fi machine/weapon? Well, the reason why I didn't just do it this way is that there is a special NPC I plan to put in there for the players to rescue. If death just comes automatically, well, it's kinda missed for suspense and plot and all those things... Now, to frankly give you the entirety of my diabolical game plot, I had planned to put a limitation on the death ray machine, so it can only drain END form the robot batteries to fire. The characters will be "in possession" of the first prototype of spaceship battery androids and they'll discover that there are multiple other uses to it (namely, a daeth ray that can destroye the Federation Space Forces' Headquarter). Tada! Now that you know everything, I'm compeled to make you all silent...
  3. Hi, I'm presently reading the Core book and I find the system really, I mean, really realistic and all, but something keeps bugging me out. I have a character in a msemi realistic campain that is built in heroic mode. She has SPD 3 and 9 hexes of running, wich make her a "trained" nomral human being. If, let's say, she had to run in a field to flee form a machine gun at non-combat speed, she would lose half her DCV. Using velocity-based DCV gives exactly the same reasult (DEX=17, normal DCV=6, half DCV and velocity-based DCV=3). Isn't it a little weird? I mean, wouldn't a person running at full speed be harder to hit by a machine gun? Is there any way to pass through this without changing my character's characteristics or is there something I just didn't get? Thank you very much.

Sorry for my english writting, as I'm essentially a french speaking person. I also hope I'm not bugging you with all this. Thank you very much.
  5. Hi again, I just thought about making a campain about the Master of Orion game saga world. Its history line and alien races are pretty cool. I'm however kinda new to this game and I was wondering if somebody had already did write-ups and package deals about these and would accept to share them here? I'd like to get some inspiration. Yhank you very much.
  6. Re: Somebody knows where to find this? Thanks! (still not exactly what I had in mind, but thanks anyway)
  7. Re: How would you build this sci-fi machine/weapon? Thank guys. And what do you think about this one? It's kinda like the contrary of the first. It's a robot who can serve as a battery (energy reserve) for space ships. How should I build this? I first thought about Aid (4d6 END, usable by others only, costs END), but I would it be better to build this only as a power reserve? Thank you very much.
  8. Hi, Could I build a character with both a regenerative power (healing, self-only, reduced endurance, persistent, extra time 1 hour) and a physical limitation that requires specialized mediacl attention - cannot heal? Is it possible? The character would be some self-repairing robot, but its self-repair system could be destroyed, and then necessitate external cares. Note: I took the ideas for the two things on different writups form Susano's site. Thank you very much.
  9. Hi, I'm presently searching for images to fit with some characters of a Star Hero anime style. I need some images from female pilots (such as those in Neon genesis Evangelion, Robotech/Macross, Xenogears, or whatever 80's anime sci-fi style) to design clothes, combinatons, etc. but the only images I can find aren't anime style, sci-fi related or only depict half-naked women... Do you know of some ressources where I could find a couple of those, at the same place? Thank you very much, have fun.
  10. Hi, I thought this could give a couple of good ideas for a fighting enironment in a post-apoc world setting, too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prypiat%2C_Ukraine http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chernobyl_disaster_effects http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Forest I suggest you search for "Prypiat" in google image for a breath taking glimpse of what happened, and still goes on, there. I'd use this to build a credible post nuclear war environment. Have fun.
  11. Hi, I'm new here and this is my first post. I don't have a lot of Hero System experience, neither. I'm presently trying to build my fisrt item, but it doesn't fit well in any categories given in the Source Book. How would you build it? The machine I have in mind is a kind of "Death ray" canon that takes it energy from a living captive in it. It cannot function without one. My first idea was to give it a line zone of effect killing attack that takes it power from an endurance reserve. This endurance reserve has limitations that makes it impossible to do Recovery by itself. The only way to resplenish it is to use the weapon's Drain endurance power against a captured target. END drained form the target are transfered to the END reserve. Finally, the machine has some entangle to keep its captive in quiet well in place. Any other idea, suggestions or contructive critics? This item fits more in a Star Hero or Champion setting, but could probably be adapted to other genres. Thank you very much, have fun.
