I love what they do with te caracter so far, even Gambit's story is very well done... besids the obligatory Prof. X appearance... thought it was kinda tacked on... but the rest was good... BTW I liked the first TPB, World Tour is good, and so is Return of the King...

Re: Reconciling Manga & Batman Very good point... hell Lodoss Wars and Dragon Ball Z don't mesh at all... let alone Lain:Serial Experiments or even Witch Hunter Robin... just a medium... not a genre.

Re: Reconciling Manga & Batman So what is the actual problem let them play it... why limit humanity unless you purposely want to show how much normal humans suck... personally if you want a butt-kicking martial arts master without chi powers then go for it... if you want one with it, go for it... don't pass the campaign limits and have fun... why limit a concept... because if this is RDU specific then you guys already know your answer it seems... What do you expect us to dp, change your minds? I don't play with specific hard-line limits on humanity, but you do, cool. I think wuxia is all kinds of superheroic too, and it should be an honest source of inspiration. Bleh forgot what my point was...

Re: What genre is Champions really about? LOL and I am black too... yay! So in short I think Campions is about comics, in all their varied, crazy uniformity... and every way is the right way...

Anyways, I hope I did not seem to antagonistic in my reply... it was just my opinion not fact or anything, I like good stories... dark or light, just make it fun... and entertaining... The same with my heroes... just make them fun... gun is the image that comes to mind... as abstract as that sounds...

Re: I love The Ultimates I just enjoy the interpretations that the Ultimate line has done with the characters. Playing in that Universe at least to me would be a blast! I think Thor would have the most points powerwise... but I doubt any would be over more then 700 points...

Re: Reconciling Manga & Batman I have to agree I always saw Batman as the greatest Detective in the world... and Goku isn't just the greatest martial artists he is the greatest Fighter in the world, he is good with just about any form of combat... outside of Mental LOL Goku is built on a ludicrous scale along with his allies and enemies, and can casually destroy the world with a gesture, who constantly wantes to find the next challenge. That is his whole life, thankfully Batman is much more well rounded. Batman as a character is not about mystical martial arts per se, he is a master, everyone can see that, but he isn't a mystical master. Nor would I like him to be, his appeal is that he is the ultimate man in ways, tough, smart, handsome, and an awesome warrior. But he isn't ludicrous, I don't consider Dragonball Z martial arts in the least despite the inspiration. It is plain out and out over the top destruction with punches, kicks, and nuclear ki blasts
