New computer and HD doesn't want to work

I switched to a new computer and Hero Designer won't open. I have java installed but no luck. Any ideas?

It says that it can't access file even though all the promissions are on when I use command promt

Without any details, it sounds like you're running afoul of Windows UAC -- move HD to a directory that you have full access to (not protected by UAC). I'd suggest a folder on your Desktop or Documents directory, if only to verify.

I'm also having trouble. I get this message:

 

"Unable to install Java

 

There are errors in the following switches:

'C:\Users\brand\AppData\Local\Temp\Temp2_HERODesigner.zip\HD6.jar';

 

Check that the commands are valid and try again."

 

No idea what this means. I have Java installed already.

I had this same problem and I unistalled Java, and reinstalled, then deleted Hero Designer and copied it over again. Then I ran runHD.bat from an elevated command line, and after that the jar worked properly. This was on a machine that had Hero Designer working just a couple of months ago.
