Metaphysician
I know there are some old conversions for a decent number of the characters from Freedom City. Anybody tried doing other characters, or there own versions of the already converted ones?? Like, say, Champions edition Centurion, or Omega. . . The damage range seems a little low for characters with that much depth, and more importantly, the kind of scale they seemed to operate on. Starlord
What is the link to the actual MM/HERO conversions/conversion chart? Can someone provide that, please? Lord Liaden probably has it, he keeps all those links memorized, doesn't he?
Lord Liaden
I am the Lord of the Links! Here ya go, Starlord: http://members.aol.com/talonstudio/freedomcity/fchero.html I do agree with Agent X that the Damage Classes of some of the FC HERO character writeups seem a little low (most around DC 12), but that was the most common attack size for published four color heroes while 4E was out. It was also common for characters to have relatively high Defenses compared to their attacks, as these do. The existing writeups are actually pretty easy to tweak to boost attack power, especially since most of them have plenty of Active Points in their Powers; they just tend to buy their attacks down to 1/2 or 0 END, even heroes who have Endurance to spare. By reducing that Advantage you can often add two or three DCs without even having to change the numbers on their character sheets.
Monolith
The characters were originally written for San Angelo, and SA has a lower than usual power standard when it comes to characteristics and powers. But as LL said, they are very easy to tweak up.
Metaphysician
First thing I would probably do in a rework is up Raven's point efficiency on that skill list. For some reason, having her be that much more point-costly than all the other characters violates my sense of esthetics. ( main trick: buy down one rank on all non-combat skills that are above base level, spend some of the points on a non-combat skill level. Net savings of about 20 points. )
Chuckg
Heh. You ain't kidding, meta. Even my *bricks* accumulate Overall Levels...
Metaphysician
Well, overall levels aren't a perfect panacea, since you can't apply them to familiarities. OTOH, its worth grabbing at least one unless you are really strapped for points. I also think it works best to not charge points for most vehicles and bases, unless they form a *very* intrinsic part of your character. Just purchase the appropriate skills, perks, and disadvantages to represent your position in the world and the resources you can bring to bare.
