Jkeown
If I was gonna write up a bunch of awful diseases and maladies using HERO, might I use Drain STR, DEX, etc to simulate them? Drains can't kill can they?
SleepyDrug
Re: Disease? Drains are the traditional method used to simulate diseases by most GM's and HERO as seen in the Hero Beastiary and other books. A Body Drain can kill....at 0 Bod your dead
Lord Liaden
Re: Disease? Clarification to SleepyDrug's post: Death occurs when a character has been brought to a negative BODY score equal to his original BODY, from any means including Drains. See FREd p. 275. Dust Raven
Re: Disease? Using Drains, or even Persistant Suppress, is an excellent way of simulating many diseases. Unless you include a Drain BODY or a Linked Killing Attack (or any attack that causes BODY damage), there is no chance of it killing a target, though the results might make it easier for them to die.
