NuSoardGraphite
Re: Super Earth Found! No, not Krypton . . . A rock world with 14 times the mass of Earth. Wow, thats pretty big. Imagine how many civilizations a planet that size could hold. Too bad its likely too hot and molten to hold life (as we know it)
tkdguy
Re: Super Earth Found! No, not Krypton . . . Not to mention that the gravity must be enormous there.
L. Marcus
Re: Super Earth Found! No, not Krypton . . . Hmmm . . . :fetches Star HERO: Say that the composition of this beast is Rock-Iron, with a density of 1.4. Then the diameter (in Earth standards) would be (14 / 1.4) ^1/3 = 2.15, and therefore the surface gravity would end up at 1.4 * 2.15 = 3 Gs! Heavy . . . ! But still tolerable to a human modified to live in such an environment...maybe. I don't think we'll ever be able to modify humans enough to withstand that heat and radiation though... Metaphysician
Re: Super Earth Found! No, not Krypton . . . What's Belax? Planet mentioned in Galactic Champions. On second thought, though, Belax is bigger. Something like 10 G surface gravity.

Could be a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't wanna live there.
