John T
Ever used a perfectly normal conversational phrase or idiom, and then amusedly wondered what kind of character you'd have if you used the same innocuous term as a character name? Okay, maybe only I do that... Anyway, a couple of examples: Little Miss Communication - character with the power to cause everyone around her to interpret everything said around her in the most unflattering way possible. Could also be called Little Miss Understanding. Unreasonable Facsimile - one of a duplicating hero's duplicates who goes rogue and becomes an independent, free-willed villain. The Pun-isher - character with puns so bad that they cause damage to anyone who hears them. Any other ideas? John T
zornwil
Re: Loopy Supers I'm not so sure about conventional phrases, but I draw from regular mundane commercial objects: Bud Girl - inspired by the Budweiser swimsuit girls; she was pheremonally-enhanced to induce attraction as well as with mental powers, and had a keg of beer that caused drunkenness (drains) Home Despot and Office Despot - both based on Home and Office Depots, a husband-and-wife team themed accordingly Just a couple quick ones. I could swear I've used regular phrases but can't think of any at the moment.

Hypnotoad, the
Re: Loopy Supers Okay...let's see what I can pull out of the archives ::blows off the dust, nearly chokes on it...:: Captain Koala: An annoying little man with an ungodly number of dice in mind control--specifically to beat the snot out of him until he shut up or went away. Villain teams used him as a distraction. Llama Man: Deranged "hero" who gave llamas superllama powers (a special effect of a friendly summon), so that they might escape their captivity and claim their FREEDOM!!! Captain Kodachrome: The arch enemy of dull color coordination. He had a transformation attack that changed anything to the same thing, but in incredibly LOUD COLORS! He really had a problem with black and white combinations (Nuns, zebras, penguins...). Burnout: Had INCREDIBLE characteristics and defenses--all on four 1-turn charges, with a burnout roll. His special effect came from a bad batch of speed. Please note: He had "berzerk on 14- for no particular reason; recover 8-".
Chuckg
Re: Loopy Supers On an interesting note, Wildstorm comics has "Miss Misery" a character in SLEEPER who slowly dies if she doesn't perform acts of evil, and gains physical and mental stats if she does. Kirby
Re: Loopy Supers Heh, I once tried creating "Dude Man." That used to be a phrase I would say a lot (until it was pointed out to me by girls giggling -psychological scars from that-) and modified him for the perverted side of me (when I was in high school). Anyway, his picture came from "Bud Man" which was an OLD beer advertisement. I modified him to have duplication to a smaller Dude Man (who, sadly I admit) came out of his pants). "Both" were idealistic super heroes, but were big on psych limits when it came to the opposite sex. (Think porn, perverted, lust, drooling, weak-kneed, and happy-go-lucky 'trying to please/impress' all rolled up into one.) The next was "the Cockroach." He had 75% dmg red pd/ed/mental all resistant. But he only had 30 strength as his offensive power. He was short and took 2x effect from knockback.
