Does Surbrook's Stuff or some other site have 5e HERO stats for the cast of the Tenchi-Muyo! OVA's. I;ve seen several writeups for Ryoko over the years -- she seems to have captured gamer;'s imagiantions -- but none for Ayeka, Sasami, Mihoshi, Washu or Tenchi himself. Not to mention Kagato -- one of the greatest anime villains ever. And Katushito/Yosho, whose motives are seeingly inexplicable at times.

Once I get down with Steam Detective Hero, Hellboy Hero, Trigun Hero, and.... :whistle:

Some of the cast would be touch, like Mihoshi with her absurd levels of Luck. And Washu would be really difficult. Extreme INT, every science-related skill at 18-, the ability to change into an adult version of herself (which is actually the 'real" version -- she just prefers to be a child most of the time) and gain about 15 points of COM in the process, the ability to teleport so quietly and effortless that nboody notices it (and produce a doll dupliacte of herself in her place!), EDM and a Pocket Dimension that is larger than the galaxy that she nontheless traverses effortlessly....

 

Heck, she;s a GODDESS! What CAN'T she do? might as well assigne her a 150 actiive point Cosmic VPP, Change Powers as a 0 phase action and be done with it. She is so far off the chart in terms of power level that she's as much plot device as character.

I'd probably write up Sasami as a multiform; it seemed pretty clear to me that she shifts into Tsunami to access those powers.

 

Mihoshi might have a ridiculous amount of luck, with side effect: Unluck, Explosion (+1/2). She tends to accidentally suceed with lots of collatoral damage...

Most of the Tsuami powers Sasami can use in either form (such as an incredibly long-distance Teleport between two Royal Trees some distance apart during the Kagato Crisis). Samai is only barely aware of just how powerful she really is and doesn;t use her powers very often; she'd rather be the well-loved little girl who does all the cooking for the Tenchi "family". I;m not sure whether she actually has the equivalent of a schoolgirl crush on Tenchi or whether she just views him as the big brother she never knew.

 

Sasami also has not come to terms wiith being Tsumnami's huiman form. She still suffers severe pangs of guilt over "taking the place" of the real Princess Sasami. This has not stopped her from befriendign Ryoko, who was responsibile for the real Sasami's death (althoguht to her credit Ryoko was mind-controlled at the time).

 

Recently Washu has been showing off some new powers. She seems to be able to effortlessly read the sruface thoughts of characters like Noriyuki and Tenchi. This is well within the range of her power pool, so i chose not to write it up as a separate power.

 

The Pretty Sammy writeup is taken from the TV series Magical Project S and is an entirely different Sasami from the one io the OVAs. She is a pure-blooded Earth human who lvies with both her parents and goes to school. Misao Amano is her best friend who, when hypnotized by Ramia's agent, becomes Pixie misa, a rival magical girl -- Misao's world is shattered when she discovers this, and Sasami helped get her thoguh it. By the end of the series they are firm allies, even though Pixie Misa in her magical girl form is a little bit nuts.

I'm also wondering about the two Guardians of Jurai that were with Ayeka--we don't see them often later in the OVA series, but they do come into play frequently enough in the TV series. Are we purposely keeping both series apart, since they are a useful plot tool? They're not overly powerful...

If/when I do my adaptations of TENCHI to HERO, I intend to use just the 13-Episode OVA series, backed with intel from the GOO Tenchi RPG. So yes, I'd keep both series apart, just like my EL HAZARD stuff is only for the 1st 7 OVA episodes, and ignores the variants that came later.

All the point totals for the OAV characters are way too low. These are cosmic level characters. The Light Hawk Wings are a cosmic level defense. In some of the background text by one of the creators it says that to break a Light Hawk Wing by conventional means would take a truly insane amount of power. 25 PD/ED is way too low. The Light Hawk Wing is one of the most powerful constructs in the galaxy and it is what makes Jurai the largest empire in the galaxy.

 

I don't see Tenchi's battle armor in the powers. He essentially takes two of his three Light Hawk Wings and wraps them around him transforming his outfit into battle armor. The third one becomes a sword that presumably can cut through just about anything. And Kagato wasn't able to block it or repair the damage.

 

Mihoshi's the weakest of the three and she's got a gadget pool that's probably worth a couple of hundred points. That cube of hers can do an incredible range of effects and contains equipment as well. She's also got a lot of INT bought under "No conscious control". :D

 

The OAV characters could easily hold their own against most of the characters in a high power Galactic Champions game. The only series I know that exceeds that power level is Dragonball Z.
