It's a 30 US$ book, want to know if I should buy de book more than the hdc powers Depends on what you use more I'd say. Do you make any characters w/o HD? If so, I'd get the book ... if not, then the HD format USPD could be invaulable. I just use the book myself and adapt as I need into HD. In a perfect world, I'd say get both ... as it'd be supporting Hero, as well as giving you all the options
Kristopher
Re: USPD in hero designer format Even if you use HD to create characters, I'd probably recommend the printed book -- but I just like books, anyway. I'm not sure about the HD version, but the printed version has a lot of interesting sidebars and informative texts.

Beholder
Re: USPD in hero designer format Just bought it anyway and yes, the powers are organized by themes. You have Prefab files with themes(example, Acid), and once you load it, you have possibly 20 to a 100 possibility in the theme to juggle with... For a single fireball, IIRC, there are about 10 variants (similar to the Grimoir books) Very nicely done, Made a Fire based supers in 10 minutes with the prefabs and it pretty nice

Now if I could only afford to buy the HD version.
zornwil
Re: USPD in hero designer format Beholder, I think you're missing a lot of flavor without the book and some inspiration from that and the pics. Also some of the discussion is worthwhile. Of course whether those elements are worth the book price is your call, I will say the discussion probably isn't critical, but I felt it was decent. I have bought the HD and own the book.
Enforcer84
Re: USPD in hero designer format I bought both. Some powers make far less sense without the book. Similarly, the Grimrores, Gadgets and Gear, and the HSVS are pricy HD products but I've been pleased with them. I did purhcase the books as well though. zornwil
Re: USPD in hero designer format Yeah, I wish there was an easy way for the company to sell the HDCs and books bundled for a better price but I thoroughly understand their position.
