He bitterly resents anyone who has the spot in the Doctor's heart that he himself covets, and such is sure to be a rival at best, if not an outright enemy. If this intellectual giant trapped in a minature body has another failing, it is his weakness for taller women. As that is about 99% of the female population, he can be a bit distracted in the presence of the ladies. Quote:Nnnnmph! *Fierce glare and finger point*Background: Dr. Destroyer's genetic structure resists genetic duplication, this prevents the dread doctor from simply making a new younger body for himself and moving his mind into it. Still, Dr. Destroyer had to try. One result was "Mini-D" who, while every bit the intellectual equal of his creator, physically came up a bit... shall we say, short? Dr. Destroyer was pleased that the experiment seemed to learn so quickly, indeed, thanks to devices meant to train at accelerated rates, the clone was in few weeks a better scientist than some who'd trained for decades. Still, Destroyer would not be mocked, and that included pint sized parodies! So, he ordered the clone frozen until it could finally be useful. What happened after that depends on the Campain Use the GM has planned... Powers/Tactics: Alas, denied the decades of education that his creator has, as well as the resources, the technology at Mini-D's disposal is also a much reduced version of Dr. Destroyer. Mini-D simply loves lasers, however, and has incorporated a powerful one into his suit which he uses cleverly indeed. By firing at this part of the bigger folk or that, he may kneecap a foe, or blind him. Mini-D has also become an amazing accurate marksman at nailing a target in the "goods", a mauever that maybe responsible for cutting the potential future generation of superhumans by half! One odd 'power' that Mini-D seems to possess is his ability to make his will known with a grunt, squeek, or mmph. Despite the seemingly short burst of sound, it is as entire monologues of detailed information have just been stated. Folks just KNOW! Campaign Use: It is entirely possible, and ironic, that Mini-D will be thawed out in the year 3000 or so. He will survive where his maker has long been dust. In the Galactic Champions setting, he will strive to become a threat that will make the universe tremble! And probably fail, given how powerful the heroes of that time are. Ironically, they might mistakenly assume he IS Doctor Destroyer, after all, a lot of history is blurred, if not outright forgotten by that time. On the other hand, Mini-D could have escaped his cold storage (or never entered it) in the modern times. In which case, he will seek to please Dr. Destroyer and win his approval, possibly by taking out the super heroes who trouble him so. Comparitively, he'll be much more powerful than the 'standard' super hero, so while the modern day crime-fighter might struggle to keep a straight face, he'd still be wise to find a tin foil cod piece. Hermit
The other stuff Background/History: Dr. Destroyer's genetic code resists duplication and alteration. This prevents the dread doctor from making a new, younger body to move his mind to. Still, he had to try. One result was "Mini-D" who, while every bit the intellectual equal of his creator, physically he came up a bit... shall we say, short? Dr. Destroyer was pleased that the experiment seemed so quick to learn. Indeed, devices meant to assist in information assimilation worked especially well with Mini-D's mind allowing him to grasp concepts in days it would take others years. Soon the clone was a fine scientist in his own right. Still, Dr. Destroyer would not be mocked, and that included pint sized parodies! So, he ordered the clone frozen until some use could be found. What happened after depends on what Campaign Use the GM has planned. Personality/Motivation: With a genius that rivals his creator, one would think that Mini-D would be more ambitious, but the truth of the matter is he's wanted nothing more than his template's approval. In the Galactic Champions setting, he will strive to become a threat that will make the universe tremble! And probably fail, given how powerful the heroes of that time are. Humorously, they might fall under the mistaken assumption that Mini-D IS Doctor Destroyer, a lot of information has been lost in historical archives by that time, after all. On the other hand, Mini-D could have escaped his cold storage (or never entered into it) in the modern times. By the way, Killer Shrike's made Hero Boards Export Templates (I think they're on the Free Stuff page) that format everything for vBulletin. [EDIT - They're in the KS_HTML_CharacterExports.zip file.] Very cool, thank you (And, obviously, thanks to Killer Shrike). Mini D needs some tweaking yet, but I figured this was good practice to help me get used to HD and maybe provide some good chuckles to folks as well. I should have added an endurance reserve, and who knows, maybe Keyesbill is right and you should add some 'frickin sharks with frickin lasers on their head' In case it needs be said, the art is by Storn, which was kindly requested by the mighty Death Tribble (who liked the concept when I first suggested it). After seeing that, how could I not go on and make the character a reality?

Hermit
Plot Seeds Mini-D Plot Seeds 1) Brides of Mini-D! For such a little guy, Mini-D has a muy mojo with the ladies (And some know about that tripod" reputation). Deciding he needs some help, he naturally decides to find a way to empower some women with super powers in exchange for their help in his plans. Kelvarite, stolen superserums, and plain old tech; all are legitimate paths to granting powers. How will the PCs react when Mini-D coincidentally chooses for his "brides" some of their female rivals or foils (Perhaps even Ex-Girlfriends or former wives) as the recipient of super powers. Maybe Captain Wonder shouldn't have snubbed that attractive reporter that one time. She clearly holds a grudge. 2) Let's Start Small Inspired by the conquests of his creator, Mini-D decides to honor him by taking over a place of his own. What could be more fitting than the conquest of Micronesia! Or Guam, maybe Guam! Of course, in the year 3000, he might instead start with one of the smaller worlds instead. 3) You Must Be THIS Tall Seeking a way to overcome the handicap of his reduced size, Mini-D instantly grasps that the flaw is not so much in him, but in the world's expectations of what proper scale should be. When word gets out of newly discovered particles that reduce the mass of non-living matter, Mini-D determines to make them his own. He doesn't need much, just enough to reduce a city's buildings to half size. Let's see how the mundanes like it when they can't even enter their homes without crawling!
