Dr Divago Posted June 30, 2005 Report Share Posted June 30, 2005 I'm building armor for CybHerOpunk, and Subdermal ones, and i've a question: For building an Helmet, location 3-5 or 4-5, how much limitation i can impose? I mean: Vest (location 10-13) is a -1¼ limitation; but for cap, helmet, coif and other "head gear" whose "activation roll" is under 8-, what limitation multiplier i must use? -2? (limitation of 8- activation roll)? or lower? (-2¼, -2½, etc.?) i've read armor section in both Fantasy Hero and Dark Champions but niether can help me... EDIT: I just remembered where I saw this... on the PULP HERO genre book preview, put out by Steve Long. RE-EDIT: ...I think... now I'm starting to doubt where... It was definately in a preview for some new book that isn't out yet. RE-RE-EDIT: Okay... now I'm just about totally positive it was in the new EQUIPEMENT BOOK... phew, I'm glad I was able to barely rattle that out of my brain. RE-RE-RE-EDIT: This is the scrap they tease us with: -2 Only Protects One Location (or Two Locations): This is a Limitation for Defense Powers in campaigns using the Hit Locations chart. The builder of the power defines which one location is protected, or which two are protected. Dust Raven Posted July 1, 2005 Report Share Posted July 1, 2005 Re: Helmet, cap and like Technically, you can have an Activation of 5-, but the value is still -2, just like for an 8-. Effectively, it's not any more limiting, or at least not so much as to warrent an additional -1/4. You'll notice that there is no such thing as an Activation 16-, I suspect for a similar reason.
