Killer Shrike
Reorganized the Magic System documents on my High Fantasy HERO site. Seperated the Magic System guidelines portions of the docs and the Package deals for greater clarity. Did a significant reorg of the various "Vancian" Magic Systems to make their relationship to each other more clear. Pulled the Sorcery option called Stregari mentioned as a Variant in the original version into its own document. Check it out.... http://www.killershrike.com/FantasyHERO/HighFantasyHERO/FantasyHERO.shtml

I could actually do a lot more with it if I wanted to -- Im a software developer. I just don't bother because I don't want to spend my creative hobby time doing the same thing I do on my job time But anyone can learn to do simple HTML pages; it's a very easy technology. If you want to learn how to do it yourself drop me a line and Ill help you get started.

Curufea
Re: High Fantasy HERO Site Update My only complaint is aesthetics. I hate underline hyperlinks. Which is unfortunate - because it is an international standard in accessability and used by every government and major corporation website that has an interest in making the web usable by everyone. But then again, who cares if you get hits by the visually impaired?

Hierax
Re: High Fantasy HERO Site Update How about a Character page with links to various sample characters? Personally, I find the "Sample Wizards" to be quite good but it would be good to have links to all of them in one place along with links to other sample characters of various types (be they from San'Dora or Warhammer, or PC or NPC). Killer Shrike
Yeah, thats on my "TODO" list. It's down near the bottom, but Ill theoretically get around to it First I have to finish switching all of the Profession Packages to the new style, which takes about 2 hrs per doc. Then Im going to finish the Paradigm docs, linking them the various revised Magic Systems and Profession Packages. Then Im going to redo the Race Packages in a similar fashion, but also overhauling the entire concept a bit. Then Im going to revise the Psionic Powers system to make it conform to the same layout/organization as the Magic Systems. I expect this to take a little time since I havent touched those docs in a long time, and the Magic Systems have been thru several revisions in the meantime. Then Im going to add a new document discussing exceptional abilities and super skills and so forth. I shouldve written it a long time ago, since the non-magic user professions are littered with such abilities, but personally I never really thought it required any explanation. However, Ive gotten enough questions from new players that were unaware that you could do that sort of thing that I've decided it's a worthwhile topic to cover. After all of that I need to go back and revise the AD&D and D&D 3e conversion docs since all the reorgs Ive been doing have broken a lot of links and also obsoleted some of the discussion in those docs. After I get thru all of that, there are a number of new Magic Systems that Ive roughed out over the last couple years but never got around to typing up. If I havent gotten distracted by something else in the meantime, Ill start hitting them. I also need to do the Advanced Careers for the Warhammer 2e Conversion. But somewhere in there Ill provide a doc linking to all the various sample characters with some context as to what they are. In the meantime, the majority are linked to already here: http://www.killershrike.com/SanDora/Characters/NPCs/NPCs.shtml

Killer Shrike
Re: High Fantasy HERO Site Update Updates proceed apace as my schedule allows. Ive worked thru several more of the Package Deal docs, getting them changed over to the new layout. Been taking the opportunity to add more Package Deals as I go. Notably, I extracted the Order of Esow and Derwydd variants of Spellweaving into seperate docs with more detailed coverage: FYI, the Derwydda variant is a Druidic slant to Spellweaving, and the Order of Esow is a specific sort of Hermetic-style Guild that I use in my Fantasy Setting. http://www.killershrike.com/FantasyHERO/HighFantasyHero/MagicSystems/Spellweaving.shtml http://www.killershrike.com/FantasyHERO/HighFantasyHero/MagicSystems/spellweavingDerwydda.shtml http://www.killershrike.com/FantasyHERO/HighFantasyHero/MagicSystems/spellweavingOrderOfEsow.shtml and tonight I expanded the 1 composite package deal given for each into a full coverage of Package Deals for both, as well as adding 4 more Composite Packages for Spellweavers: Spellweaver Packages: http://www.killershrike.com/FantasyHERO/Content/PackageDeals/spellweaverPackages.shtml Derwydd Packages: http://www.killershrike.com/FantasyHERO/Content/PackageDeals/spellweaverPackages.shtml#Derwydd%20Package%20Deals Esowyc Packages: http://www.killershrike.com/FantasyHERO/Content/PackageDeals/spellweaverPackages.shtml#Esowyc%20Package%20Deals
Guest bblackmoor
Re: High Fantasy HERO Site Update But then again' date=' who cares if you get hits by the visually impaired?[/quote'] As a web developer myself, I consider underlines on hyperlinks to be screen clutter. They serve no purpose: they're an artifact from when computer screens were green-on-black. As for the visually impaired, it is both possible and, in my opinion, preferable to denote hyperlinks through means other than underlines. Section 508 compliance certainly does not depend on underlining hyperlinks. But back to the topic: well done, Killer Shrike. You serve as an inspiration for GMs everywhere.
