Badger
Inspired from an NGD thread. I thought about the Scouters the Saiyans and Freeza's men used in dragonball z. Things in particular were the power readings. What attributes would likely be in the formula or such. Not looking for something exact, just some ideas possibly to grasp onto. I know SPD, DEX,STR, and probably END. Possibly BODY and STUN. Maybe EGO. Any thoughts?
Lord Liaden
Re: Scouters from DBZ If I were going to actually run something like this in a game, I'd probably just use our boardmate nyakki's Combat Rating System computer app: http://www.trimira.com/hero_stuff/combat_rating.html# nyakki even gives instructions on how to copy the system directly into your own computer: http://www.trimira.com/hero_stuff/combat_rating_text.html
Fenixcrest
Re: Scouters from DBZ Well, the build would be Detect Fighting Power(Discriminatory, Ranged), OIF(fragile). As for what it would detect... I would almost say toolkit a new number into the system, though I'm not sure what kind of number; I'm sure there's a better way to do it than what DBZ Fuzion did. Lord Liaden
Re: Scouters from DBZ That's pretty much the build that Michael "Susano" Surbrook gives the scouter in his excellent web sourcebook for running DBZ using HERO System, Dragonball Z HERO. Here's where you can read the scouter writeup: http://surbrook.devermore.net/dbzhero/dbzgadgets.html
pinecone
Re: Scouters from DBZ I'd use some form of "Rule of X" and use the result as a readout, modified by the scouters Per roll...
