Sir Ofeelya
Re: Norse Beastiary - a little help I think that ICE put out a book with duel stats for Rolemaster and Hero system called Campaign Classics: Vikings. It has various mnonsters such as Aftergangers and/or Doppelgangers which were very cool.

War Cry
Re: Norse Beastiary - a little help Eaters of the Dead' date=' [b']please![/b] Interesting book, awful movie. But that's how it always goes. Really? Hmm. My opinion is the opposite, though I won't call the book awful. It was interesting and fun in places, but it just didn't grab my attention. For me, Eaters of the Dead was a "read for an hour;put it down, read a little more two or three days later" kinda book. I never finished it though. Greg Miller
Re: Norse Beastiary - a little help Let's see if I can remember this ...There are also stories of the "Utbyrd" (sp) the "unborn" which is about the size of a newborn and cries outside at night like a baby, which it can resemble. Anyone taking it in will have their life sucked out of them when they sleep/are charmed into holding still. The legend is probably in response to the gruesome practice of leaving unwanted newborns out of doors to die because the family was poor and unable to care for them. Most of the time it was alas women children.
L. Marcus
Re: Norse Beastiary - a little help That seems like a close kin to the Myling -- ghosts or spectres of murdered children. Very scary, very sad.
