BobGreenwade
I wish I'd thought to post this while Steve was working on The Ultimate Metamorph; it could have come in very handy for Duplication, Multiform, and similar Powers. If I had, then perhaps it would be possible to implement the formula in HD; as it stands, that's extremely unlikely for quite some time. It could also work for Followers, extra Equipment, and similar things. All it is, is an insertion of intermediate numbers for the +5 = x2 table: +5 points = x2 items +8 = x3 +10 = x4 +12 = x5 +13 = x6 +14 = x7 +15 = x8 +16 = x9 +17 = x10 +18 = x12 +19 = x14 +20 = x16 +21 = x18 +22 = x20 +24 = x28 +25 = x32 and so forth. Any responses?
Hugh Neilson
Re: Intermediate levels of +5 = x2 Makes sense. Extrapolate the copst of the desired number, rounding up (consistent with charges getting "this many or less"), and go from there.

SCUBA Hero
Re: Intermediate levels of +5 = x2 Makes sense, but I think it's too granular to be of practical use. +20 buys you a max 16 copies, +25 buys from 17 to 32 copies. The math purist in me like it (hey, what do you expect from the guy who brought up the idea that 2 1-BODY damage should be converted to one 2-BODY damage, 4 1-BODY to one 3-BODY, 8 1-BODY to on 4-BODY, et multiple cetera, ad naseum), but I think it's too little game effect for too much added complexity. Dave T A custom Adder would work just fine. Having it implemented internally would merely work that much more easily, is all.
superferret
Re: Intermediate levels of +5 = x2 My work on what I call the "Sensible STRength Table", gave me the same figures. If we extend the table that post a little, we have: +33 = x100 +50 = x1 000 +66 = x10 000 +83 = x100 000 +100 = x1 000 000 Using +50 for every thousand, +100 for every million helps with make a large congregation, or making a whole country of followers. Does this help? I wish I'd thought to post this while Steve was working on The Ultimate Metamorph; it could have come in very handy for Duplication, Multiform, and similar Powers. Blue Jogger
Re: Intermediate levels of +5 = x2 Well, using a simple math program, I came up with this chart. It works for anywhere +5 = x2 applies. 5 x2 8 x3 10 x4 12 x5 13 x6 14 x7 15 x8 16 x9 17 x10 To calculate large ones, divide the factors, and add up the corresponding left side. So x120 is x2,x3,x4,x5 or ~35 points. And x300 is x3,x10,x10 or 8+17+17 or ~42 points. And x666 is x9,x2,x37 ~ x9,x2,x6,x6 or ~ 16+5+13+13 or ~47 points. Blue Jogger
Re: Intermediate levels of +5 = x2 Or use a bigger chart. 5 x2 8 x3 10 x4 12 x5 13 x6 14 x7 15 x8 16 x9 17 x10 18 x12 19 x13 20 x16 21 x18 22 x21 23 x24 24 x27 25 x32 26 x36 27 x42 28 x48 29 x55 30 x64 31 x73 32 x84 33 x97 34 x111 35 x128 36 x147 37 x168 38 x194 39 x222 40 x256 41 x294 42 x337 43 x388 44 x445 45 x512 46 x588 47 x675 48 x776 49 x891 50 x1024 51 x1176 52 x1351 53 x1552 54 x1782 55 x2048 56 x2352 57 x2702 58 x3104 59 x3565 60 x4096 61 x4705 62 x5404 63 x6208 64 x7131 65 x8192 66 x9410 67 x10809 68 x12416 69 x14263 70 x16384 71 x18820 72 x21618 73 x24833 74 x28526 75 x32768 76 x37640 77 x43237 78 x49667 79 x57052 80 x65536 81 x75281 82 x86475 83 x99334 84 x114104 85 x131072 86 x150562 87 x172950 88 x198668 89 x228209 90 x262144 91 x301124 92 x345901 93 x397336 94 x456419 95 x524288 96 x602248 97 x691802 98 x794672 99 x912838 100 x1048576
BobGreenwade
Re: Intermediate levels of +5 = x2 So for 100 points you could have 100 Normals as Followers to serve as human shields.
